Unless you have a window table looking towards the sea, it is dowdy 1930's and really not a good experience. The Sunday buffet was definitely sub standard as was the service. I will never return there, leave it to the obviously well oiled ex-pats

I tried really hard to get reservation, they were almost always booked. Finally went for dinner with friends, found the ambience a tad bit sad(if I may say). They had limited tables and on that particular day a table or 2 were empty. It's is extremely formal in setup and service. We were seated in the reading room, apparently used... More

We had lunch here to celebrate my birthday. Instead of the typical lunch buffet/ set, we decided to try something different- the Gruyere and Emmental cheese fondue, which is a seasonal dish. We ordered the one with mustard, and also got a selection of ham and such on the side. We were pleasantly surprised by the big portion (pot) of... More

Old friends tell me the original Repulse Bay Hotel was even better, but The Verandah Restaurant (a recreation of the old hotel's facade and restaurant) must come a close second. Cheap it's not. But a finer way to spend a quiet weekday lunch there isn't either. The ambience is authentic, the service superb, and the food excellent. Plus it never... More

We've reserved two months in advance for dinner with friends. For some reason, the reservation could not be put into the system yet, but they would take note of it, they assured us. A month later, I've called to check on the reservation to make sure, and they said that it was not possible anymore because a party was booked.... More

Hotel Most people take public transport but there actually an underground carpark, if i remember correctly if you dine at the Verandah you get free parking. This building is so beautiful - definitely visit once with your loved one on a date. Bring your camera, preferably during the day on a sunny day, walk around the building and lawns and... More

My husband and I reached The Repulse Bay Club via express bus from the Hong Kong Station. The fare was HKD 10.00 and took us about 15 minutes to get to the place. The bus drops you off right by the club. The ambience of the restaurant is wonderful: colonial building, high ceilings, wooden ceiling fans, marble floors, wooden doors... More

We used to live walking distance from this lovely restaurant so we have been quite a few times for special occasions. The service is always very attentive and well trained, the food consistent and fresh, the ambience amazing with an "Old Hong Kong colonial" feel. We ate there last night on a whim to celebrate a new job procurement and... More

The good things first... The restaurant is just gorgeous - with an old world colonial charm, and lovely sea views. Perfect ambience for a brunch/ lunch/ afternoon tea. We went on a public holiday... On those days, They serve a set lunch and there are no ala carte options. For HKD 498pp, this includes buffet spreads of appetizers (mostly salads... More

I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary. I'm glad I did. A very romantic atmosphere with great food. A bit pricey but about what I expected from a spot this nice. Candlelights on the table were nice. I tried the baby spring chicken. It arrived to the table flaming - very cool. I'd recommend this place for a special... More
