Nice service

I celebrated my birthday early there. They would offer a small chocolate card to greet you if you tell the staffs earlier. It is sweet. The service is excellent! The staffs are helpful and friendly. They have good manner and attitude. The food is ok even the choices might not be too many. Good... read more

Buffet brunch is a Hong Kong obsession and not my favourite thing, fundamentally because I'm lazy, I think. But all in all, brunch at the Verandah was a pleasant if very expensive experience. We'd been told on the phone that for a supplement there was free-flowing champagne (this was a birthday treat, for me). When this turned out not to... More

We loved dressing up each morning for breakfast and enjoyed a divine selection of literally ever kind of food you can imagine. Our breakfasts lasted 1.5 hours on average because we enjoyed ourselves so much. It was also a great way to try all different kinds of Dim Sum, every day they had new kinds to try. What a wonderful... More

Yummy Buffett at this place. Generally 5-star food doesnt turn out to be this yummy but this place defies that. The service staff is very friendly and even serves on the table even when its a buffett. Considering the spread and the quality of food, I would not say its very expensive as well. All in all, a good choice... More

Just what you would hope for in a 5* hotel. Not quite The Ritz, but here the Pen comes close. Not wildly expensive and very much worth a visit, even for a pot of tea in the afternoon, (nicer than the scrum in the lobby). Excellent service in a calm and unhurried atmosphere. A pity the original view has been... More

I love this buffet in HK especially the selection of scallops cooked in different ways and the abalones. It's a good price for lunch on weekdays compare to dinners and weekends. The restaurant is smaller than most 5* hotel buffets so it feels more exclusive and the service is more personalised.

Came here for small wedding dinner. My second time having buffet in Hong Kong. It is completely different than in Toronto. My expectations were high since the restaurant is located on the second floor of the Peninsula Hotel. Walked in and was greeted immediately and shown to our tables located in a more private corner of the restaurant. Reservation were... More

We had six hours to burn before our next flight to Vietnam after landing at 600am in Hong Kong from Los Angeles. We are so glad we decided to take the 25min bullet train from the airport to the Peninsula Hotel for breakfast. Located on the second floor is "The Verandah" restaurant, which serves three buffets a day - breakfast... More

The offering at breakfast is nothing short of remarkable. A feast, and if you're into buffets, you won't be disappointed. Excellent, attentive and friendly service. Great number of breads, pastries, jams, cereals and fruits, along with a well-stocked Chinese breakfast station and a Western station complete with eggs (scrambled or to order), sausages (chippolatas, both chicken and pork available), crisp...
