Dine with a view

The Isola is definitely a must-visit restaurant in Hong Kong. Done up in white inside and an excellent deck outside - this is a gorgeous place. The view of Kowloon from the deck while sipping on a vintage red is straight out of a Hollywood movie. The food is one of the best meals I have ever had... read more

Have had two bad experiences in a short space of time now - the first time was Sunday lunch and then a Friday evening. From the lack of welcome on arrival (staff gave me the reservation book for me to find my own name) to appalling service ( waiter never introduced herself and was offhand, drinks took forever to arrive... We booked Isola to get a quality experience for our Valentines dinner but got the total opposite. To summarize the whole evening in one sentence the best thing was the free candy and the worst was the food and the untrained service. We had the Valentine set menu which was served as bad excuse for a fastfood delivery. The waitors... More

Went there with a friend, had a drink on the terrace during sunset. Drink menu is extensive, the view is really nice.

A business associate snd I had lunch at ISOLA Bar & Grill yesterday. The restaurant has a great look and feel - very busy, nice enters and lots of staff to insure impeccable service. The view from our table which was inside corner by the window allowed great vistas of the harbour across their patio - which was not populated... More

I was in Hongkong for a short stay and find this Italian restaurant just below International Finance Center. I eat one pizza, dont remember the name, but i think it was one of the best pizza i had eaten for a long time.

Met some friends for happy hour drinks on a Saturday at 5:30 and there was also free finger food. Delicious. Great service and view. Will be back for dinner.

Tried Isola Bar on a sunday afternoon with my family and I had a terrible experience. Staff completely unfriendly, stressed out, disorganized and felt like they have never served at a restaurant before. Terrible quality of drinks, probably the worst coffee I've ever had and we reveived a hot coffee and a cold alchoolic drink in a matter of 1-2... More

This is a pleasant restaurant serving traditional Italian recipes in IFC. Given the location, it is quite expensive but you can pay more for inferior food in Central. The atmosphere is lively but there is reasonable space between the tables. I enjoyed an excellent seafood pasta followed by a large veal chop. Both dishes were full of flavour and well... More

We’ve been at that restaurant several times. The quality fluctuates but luckily not as much as the staff. The only stable factor is the maître and we are certain, if he would leave, the restaurant would lose its flair entirely. Lately, with the new chef, the quality of food improved again and all the dishes ordered were very nice and... More

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
