Relaxed outdoor dining with a view of the Kowloon lights

Casual dinner with friends after a busy day of sightseeing. There were six of us seated at a table outside and I was extremely happy with the spaciousness of the place settings, we certainly were not crammed together. Most of us opted for a pizza with a shared salad. The pizza was tasty but... read more

We came across the restaurant after a day of sight seeing, not exactly dressed for the dinner. The restaurant is set in a classy area and very up market. We had a selection of dishes which included pizzas too big for one person. The baked lamb rack was cooked to perfection. The lobster meat pasta did not contain much lobster,... More

Hands down the worst dining experience of my life. Outrageously priced for small portions of basic food. Staff were rude and were trying to rush us out of the place. Will not be coming back again and would advise others to stay well clear of this place.

The view over the harbour is lovely and in the summer you can eat on the terrace. They even do gluten free pasta dishes so I had pasta with lobster which was delicious Pity they don't offer gluten free bread but apart from that the place is great. Very ood atmosphere for a date or for dinner and if flying... More

Made a reservation here with a group of business clients and was hoping for a decent lunch with a good view. Turns out the place was really loud,to a point it was really annoying. The lack of any carpet and bare walls really made this place loud. Added to that the service was really slow. Our mains were slow and... More

We ate twice at Isola on our recent visit to Hong Kong. The first time I had a plate of 'fritti' and my wife had the pizza. The food was very good but not great. However, we sat out on the terrace so we could enjoy some of the light show and that was a great experience. The second time... More

The Isola is definitely a must-visit restaurant in Hong Kong. Done up in white inside and an excellent deck outside - this is a gorgeous place. The view of Kowloon from the deck while sipping on a vintage red is straight out of a Hollywood movie. The food is one of the best meals I have ever had - US... More

Have had two bad experiences in a short space of time now - the first time was Sunday lunch and then a Friday evening. From the lack of welcome on arrival (staff gave me the reservation book for me to find my own name) to appalling service ( waiter never introduced herself and was offhand, drinks took forever to arrive... We booked Isola to get a quality experience for our Valentines dinner but got the total opposite. To summarize the whole evening in one sentence the best thing was the free candy and the worst was the food and the untrained service. We had the Valentine set menu which was served as bad excuse for a fastfood delivery. The waitors... More

Went there with a friend, had a drink on the terrace during sunset. Drink menu is extensive, the view is really nice.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
