With its contemporary French cuisine and stunning harbour views, the 1-Michelin star and Forbes Travel Guide Five-star SPOON by Alain Ducasse is one of Hong Kong and Asia's most sought-after dining experiences. SPOON showcases a seductive menu and wine list --- all with French nuances inspired by world famous chef Alain Ducasse. Designed by Tony Chi, SPOON has a contemporary decor with subdued earth tones and stunning views of Hong Kong Island and Victoria Harbour. Of particular note is the ceiling, which is adorned with 550 hand-blown Murano mercury glass spoons. A unique blend of textures are incorporated into the decor with a rust-coloured leather Bar, modern French provencial chairs covered in eel skin fabric at the SPOON Bar and real mink cushions adorning the banquettes . Meanwhile, soft touches in the restaurant, including the uniforms and tabletops, reflect a style which perfectly personifies French elegance. The SPOON Private Dining Room offers an ideal setting for dinner parties for up to 14 guests. SPOON's exclusive Chef's Table, with its bird's eye view of the open kitchen in action, provides the ultimate in private dining for up to 6 guests --- with a tailor-made menu created and presented personally by SPOON Executive Chef Stephane Gortina. Open Tuesday - Sunday for dinner and on Sundays for lunch.

Spoon was downgraded from two Michelin stars (2012-1014) to a single star this year (2015). When I ate there in May 2015, it was better than any other single star restaurant I have eaten at, so maybe it should be listed as a 1+ star. The view over Hong Kong harbor is spectacular, the service impeccable, and the food was... More

This restaurant is very good but extremely expensive. Food is great but not excellent. Cheese cake to die for.

Spoon by Alain Ducasse has the harbour view, the atmosphere and stellar service. The wine list is pretty extensive and has some unusual picks in with more standard stuff. It really is a great all round experience but the food didn't quite match up to the promise of everything else. That being said it's still pretty darn good - duck... More

The food was excellent and the service (by Sabine and Ralph) was astonishing. Of course the view is beautiful, but the experience comes from what happens on and at your table. Not only a good explanation at the served foods, but also a very good advise on the wines. It is not cheap, but it is fully worth it.

I was on a solo trip through Hong Kong, and spent a day before continuing on my trip. I wanted a place that was safe, and centrally located for shopping and sight seeing. This was the place. And it's Harbor View Rooms were definitely worth the up grade. Spoon was delightful! great selection and presentation and imagination of courses was... More

Attention to detail in food preparation, presentation and taste. Starter was organic egg, giblet, langoustine and morel. The organic egg was perfectly cooked, the egg white was made into a foam and the jus brought the whole starter together well! The main was spit roasted Bresse chicken with Swiss Chard gratin, excellent combination. The chicken was cooked perfectly, skin crispy... More

The food was well thought out and beautifully presented at the table. The sommelier was well informed and the recommended wine suited the meal perfectly. If, like us, you cannot manage the petits fours - ask for them to be packed up and take them with you!

Everything about this eating experience was exceptional. The menu, the choice, the recommendations, the service and treatment, the view and setting. All exceptional. The food is sourced in France, flown in and prepared to an extremely high standard both in terms of taste and appearance. I have never eaten in an establishment like this before and doubt I ever will... More

I have to say that Spoon is the only restaurant of its type in Hong Kong I have tried that consistently delivers, time after time. I like the fact that the menu is remarkably understated. Dishes, on first encounter, seem a little disappointing. The menu has hardly changed, it seems, in 4 years. But when you eat the food you... More
