Spoon really gets it right... Three of us had dinner the other night, choosing the degustation menu in celebration of French May (an annual event in Hong Kong). Service is elegant but friendly. Our friend arrived early (well actually we were caught in traffic and were quite late!) but was treated to a delicious platter of canapes while he waited...

Just ate there a opulent of days ago. I must compliment everyone involved with this restaurant. Food was exceptional, service may be one the best anywhere, and the views cannot be beat. Expensive but well worth it and certainly not overly expensive. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to any of my friends as they do trust my opinion...

Heard so much about Spoon at the intercontinental Hong Kong two star Michelin hat not impressed. I have been to much better places that don't have Michelin hats that probably should. The food was not that great. Lumpy mash potatoe and very ordinary salad. Would rate this place 5/10 would not recommend. E

The presentation is attractive yet the substance does not achieve the two star rating. There is effort made, yet that particular touch that separates good from outstanding food is just...

I am still surprised that HK has such great french and italian restaurants. It was actually hard to find good cantonese! Spoon was excellent - delicious flavours, top service, amazing wine list, you pay for it but it is well worth it. Would definitely recommend.
