Attended the restaurant for lunch and ordered the set lunch. Excellent service and authentic decor - much in keeping with the spirit of the Peninsula Hotel. It was noticeably cold, and many diners wore shawls to keep warm. Maybe they are recreating Swiss weather too!! Ordered chicken for the main course which was excellent and peach Melba for dessert -... More

Food quality and service level very average.restaurant but nice decor If you consider however the high prices(320hk$) for a small plate of white asparagus then this makes it not worth the money, many more restaurants achieve more in this city

This is a small room with tight tables. Kids menu is a bit of an afterthought. The fondue dishes are limited to two cheese specialities and while tasty, they did not explore the possibilities of fondue. Most of the menu was directed elsewhere. We enjoyed the food and survived the decor. Perhaps the highlight was sneaking the kids up to... More

I never thought that fondu concept could be brought to the level of luxurious food before visiting this place. Having lived in Western Europe for 7 years, I have become a food snob and would take dining seriously, but this place exceeded my expectations. Nice chalet decor, both the food and the service were excellent.Expensive but sure, if you want... More

Chesa has been offering orthodox Swiss cooking in the unlikeliest of host cities, Hong Kong, since the mid sixties. A time capsule that lovingly preserves the past. When I first arrived with my parents for lunch yesterday, it was as if we were stepping back in time, to a 19th century Alpine chalet, complete with dark wood paneling and furnishings,... More

What an excellent experience. The staff and Manager at Chesa make it a personal point of pride to make sure your dining experience is wonderful. Mr Lam Siu Ping sat at our table and entranced us with his recomendations. From the appetizers to the fondue and through to the end, the meal was outstanding. Our business party had Salads, Fondue,... More

This restaurant has been around forever and has many imitators. Located on the first floor of the Peninsula hotel we always go out of our way to find time to visit Chesa for dinner whilst in Hong Kong to enjoy a quiet evening of classic swiss food. The service staff are very knowledgable and efficient, attentive but lacking a sense... More

Had lunch with friends at this cozy Swiss chalet-like restaurant and enjoyed a pleasant respite from the hustle-bustle of city life... Genuinely nice old-time Maitre d' catered to our every little request with understanding and courtesy. Food was tasty (the Raclette was so fragrantly good) and wholesome (the new potato for the cheese fondue was fresh with a crispy crunch),... More

Chesa is a fantastic old school style of European restaurant which is a rarity these days in HK or Singapore. A must have - fondue - cheese or beef fondue - both are marquee dishes and very well made. Service is excellent and the old world charm is still intact - something which we cannot find in many of the... More

We chose Chesa for lunch based on its location and TripAdvisor reviews and a strong desire for Swiss food, especially Zurich food. The setting and decoration are somewhat romantic and evocative of a traditional restaurant in Switzerland. We were on a tight schedule, so we did not order fondue. Both my wife’s pork loin baked in dried fruit and Gruyere... More
