Relieved

Always walked past King Ludwig thinking it was an old stuffy place from the outside. This time we were too tired (and hungry) to wander around, thus walked in and gave it a shot. And it just worked! Had roast duck with sides, lovely German beer and hey, no delays and food was perfect. The best... read more

I really enjoyed the sausages that I had, the problem for me was that I spent over 100HKD for 6 small sausages that would maybe fill up a small child. Again they were excellent, but for the amount of money you spend, it is disappointing. The beer was excellent though.

After a few days in Hong Kong I, as a Bavarian, needed a Bavarian (German) Beer and some Bavarian food and frankly speaking I got what I was praying for. The food was good as was the service but the beer, wow, it made my day.

For an old man like me, its a noisy place. But for all younsters, its their pardise. If you want to have some comfortable time to enjoy one to two hours in the "young" atmosphere, please book your table or go a little bit earlier. Don't sit too close to the band. Avoid sitting close to the loud speakers. Order a... More

We stayed for a dinner and were fully 'stuffed' and satisfied. Potato& chicken soup was creamy& delicious and so was the schnitzel and duck with red cabbage. The restaurant got really busy in the evening. It's obviously popular eating spot for locals. It's not cheap, 2 main courses and soup came to about H$ 650.

After we had already eaten at Brotzeit which was nothing special, we tried King Ludwig and this was definitely better. They had not only beer from the large brands, but also featured beer from a small German brewery which tasted really good. They claim they import their Würstel directly from Germany and to be honest, they also tasted like the... More

Well not what we were expecting, a lively place with German beer and lots of parties. There was a live band – a little too loud as we could hold a conversation without shouting. The menu was clear and easy to order from. The dishes though of German origin, have been tuned up Cantonese style in places. The ‘pork knuckle’... More

The Pork Knuckle was huge, and very good. A good little German restaurant near Nathan road. Waiter on this particular night was not at all friendly..I think wanted to be somewhere else. Food is very good, and cocktails and beer selection good.
