We stayed for a dinner and were fully 'stuffed' and satisfied. Potato& chicken soup was creamy& delicious and so was the schnitzel and duck with red cabbage. The restaurant got really busy in the evening. It's obviously popular eating spot for locals. It's not cheap, 2 main courses and soup came to about H$ 650.

After we had already eaten at Brotzeit which was nothing special, we tried King Ludwig and this was definitely better. They had not only beer from the large brands, but also featured beer from a small German brewery which tasted really good. They claim they import their Würstel directly from Germany and to be honest, they also tasted like the... More

Well not what we were expecting, a lively place with German beer and lots of parties. There was a live band – a little too loud as we could hold a conversation without shouting. The menu was clear and easy to order from. The dishes though of German origin, have been tuned up Cantonese style in places. The ‘pork knuckle’... More

The Pork Knuckle was huge, and very good. A good little German restaurant near Nathan road. Waiter on this particular night was not at all friendly..I think wanted to be somewhere else. Food is very good, and cocktails and beer selection good.

I enjoyed the German bread loaf and also the German pork knuckle. The drinks are quite normal and the environment is very good. Recommendable to some travelers but a bit pricy. Went there in March 2011.

We only went there for drinks so can't comment on the food. It was a Monday night and we were cramped into the small bar area on uncomfortable stools. The bar was crowded with a combination of tourists and locals. They do have a good variety of beers both bottles as well as drafts. But they were very expensive. There... More

We love German food and King Ludwig Beerhall serves that quite authentically. If you are looking for a romantic dinner this is not your place. It was Friday night and K.L.B. was full of guests from mainland China because of holiday season. So, it was loud, crowded and lively. We were lucky to have a table without reservation. Later it... King Ludwig Beerhall looks small from the outside but once I entered I was surprised how big it is inside! The decoration of the place is really typical German with heavy wood furniture and lot of wood used for the construction. This restaurant has a lot of caracter and it's a very pleasant place to be compared to those Chinese... More

We had passed by the restaurant a bunch of times during our weekend and when we realized it was a German themed pub with authentic beers and food we knew we had to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Food and beer were both very good and the location was perfect. It also helped that the prices were... More
