Best cappuccino

Best cappuccino! I have been pleasantly surprised by the cappuccino- just like in Italy, right temperature, right amount of coffee and milk!

The Milk used for the coffee was not good or either fresh. It broke off in lumps within 15minutes. This happened to me on 3 consecutive days. I told them and got an apoligy but it was still the same next day.

Be sure to have the Portugese egg tarts. Especially delicious warm. They are like creme brulee in a puff pastry. The ones served at the buffet simply are not the same.

No reason for any hype about the place.. just mediocre coffe shop in a hotel. Rathet recommend Holly Brown for locals or rooftop bar for tourists

Not much is open in the morning so stay at the hotel. Pastries and snacks available. Not too busy. Not too noisy. Hotel WiFI

The coffee is great and so is the service. It would be really good if it opened earlier though. Egg pies seem to be good too.

Expresso at the Excelsior is very small but the Illy coffee is perfectly served, accompanied by a small range of pastries.

If you are not into hotel big buffet breakfasts, give this place a try. Good coffee, the best egg tarts, as well as bircher muslie, fruit salad, croissants etc. Not many seats but the service is also good, and they have BBC on the TV to watch while you eat or drink your coffee. They do take away as well.

Expresso and Lord Stow's are one in the same location. A cosy little area for a quick coffee and nice egg tarts freshly baked and received by the hotel in the morning. Be quick as they tend to sell fast!

The coffee shop opened from 7am - 7pm. Coffee was generally very nice as you might expect from Illy. Fantastic Portuguese egg tarts....will certainly be back!

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
