Staying at the hotel dropped in for coffee and cake, the cafe is very small with limited seating, but a nice place to drop in to

I stayed at The Excelsior and I liked that they have a cafe on the ground floor. Sandwiches are good, coffee is delicious and the egg tarts are my favorite. I was always here and sometimes they would give me free egg tarts. :)

I like the taste. Understood that this is the one from Macao. After I have tasted this, it is like a revelation to me that it seems that this is how an egg tart should taste like. This is so good that I do not bother eating other egg tart's! So after my first visit in June 2015, I no... More

Simple interior, friendly staff and best Lord Stow's egg tarts. Very popular for takeaway so sometimes you need to wait or preorder if they run out of tarts. Not a great coffee.

A must try - get an illy coffee & savour the famous portughese egg tart. If you are travelling home, get a box of 6 for HK$56 or 4 for HK$40. If not, get just one piece HK$10.50 & coffee.

The Milk used for the coffee was not good or either fresh. It broke off in lumps within 15minutes. This happened to me on 3 consecutive days. I told them and got an apoligy but it was still the same next day.

Best cappuccino! I have been pleasantly surprised by the cappuccino- just like in Italy, right temperature, right amount of coffee and milk!

Be sure to have the Portugese egg tarts. Especially delicious warm. They are like creme brulee in a puff pastry. The ones served at the buffet simply are not the same.

No reason for any hype about the place.. just mediocre coffe shop in a hotel. Rathet recommend Holly Brown for locals or rooftop bar for tourists

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
