Nestled in a quaint street bristling with history and character lies Jaa Kitchen, which like the meaning of it's name implies, yields a menu of homely dishes in an intimate and chique atmosphere, replete with an extensive collection of wines. A meal with some friends in the private dining room or a drink and chat with the owner Ian, will... More

After a nine day beautiful cruise, where we were waited on hand and foot, and served the most exquisite food and wine, we thought we would struggle to come to grips with choosing a resturaunt and having to pay for it! My well travelled son told of JAA Kitchen so we tried it. Group of six and we were all... More

Read quite a lot about this place when it first opened so decided to bring the girls here for a nice dinner out. The first friend to arrive got seated at the worst table of the place - right next to the main entrance, in the middle of a very narrow walkway, and behind the cashier/bar serving area. When I... Excellent little restaurant, with an eclectic, 1920's-esque feel, mirrored walls & beautiful glass-wear. Great for a romantic dinner or chilled drinks with friends on a Friday night, food is divine with an extensive wine/ champagne list, they do a 3-course set meal with a bottle of wine which is just excellent value for money (approx. $700 for 2!!). Really lovely... More

I came here bec my good friend, A, has been patronising this retaurant a lot. I never knew her existence till I spotted it on her Facebook's raving. Now, A, has been living in HK for a while & she loves her food. When J called me out for lunch today, Jaa was at the top of my head. LOCATION... More

I have been to Jaa Kitchen now on several occasions and never been disappointed. the manager, Ian, and the head waiter...possibly only waiter, Xavier, are beyond compare. They make you feel as though you are in some private home and you are their only guests even when the house is packed with customers. The menu offers some of my old... More

Possibly had a lot of hopes from the place reading all the reviews here, and that's possibly why this doesn't cut excellent for me. Had the chorizo and shrimps, which tasted great but chorizo was I thought a bit old and tough. For main course had the wagyu burger which tasted nice, but nothing special. My wife had the veggie... One of our favourite dining venues in a city that offers so much dining choice. Since discovering this small treasure a few months ago, we have returned several times to discover what we didn't cover on the menu the last visit. The service is very personal, with all staff fully knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to make suggestions and... More
