Am I Lan Kwai Fung?

It's a great place to eat in LKF where you watch the crowd but at the same time feel far from all of it. The food was alright and the service was quite good except for the staff constantly coming to our table asking whether we have finished. I particularly enjoyed their calamari and the crispy skin... read more

Casual yet stylish dining comes to LKF- Harrington’s has opened in central LKF (in the location of the former Dublin Jack Pub) This uber casual yet stylish venue is part of the Catestello Concepts group, from the people that have given us the likes of Wagu and Oolaa. Again it’s a winner all round. Upon entering Harrington’s, those familiar with... More

Had the set lunch. Reasonably good buffet starter, and well-cooked main course. A bit too busy for serious business discussions

A great place for lunch during the week with an excellent set menu. Less than $160 (less if you’re finished by 1pm) for 3 courses and a drink, the first being a trip to the well stocked and varied salad bar or soup of the day then choice of main and 1 of 2 desserts. In 100+ visits I’m yet... More

We had dinner at Harrington's on a rainy Friday night and it was absolutely perfect. Great atmosphere with wonderful lighting, crisp linens and a luxurious vibe. Our only complaint was the menu was so wonderful, it was almost impossible to choose! The calamari was the best we've had and the roast chicken is better than my mother makes. The service... More

A bunch of us girls decided to give Harringtons a go for our weekly gathering. Was a busy tuesday night and they were slammed. Lucky for us we had made a reservation. Starters arrived quick and were very tastey. Staff were very atentive and well skilled. Our glasses were never empty the entire evening!!! Main courses were a little slow... More

Took advantage of their 2-4-1 offer on a Monday night. When we arrived (we had not made a booking) we were told it would be about a 15 minute wait for a table by the manager and he kindly offerd us a free drink at the bar while we waited!!!!. We had our drink and had not even finished when... More

We were hoping for a nice night out, however, the attitude of the ? manager (Australian male) was poor. Very condescending. The restaurant itself is very nice and cosy - and very busy. So maybe it was just us who were let down. The food was just OK, nothing special and no-one bothered to ask if we enjoyed our food.... More

Enjoyed dinner here last week, pre-dinner drinks service was almost non-existent as we waited at least 10 minutes for a G & T refill, which was an age in an empty bar. The dinner menu was extensive but food was slow arriving. I had lamb which was unfortunately cold, as was my spouce's food but we didn't want to send... More

Went on Saturday noght with friends and as we were there at 7.30 it was quiet. Excellent and extensive menu.Food was first class. Wonderful cauliflower soup for me with Greek salad for the rest which we all ended up sharing. Chicken + mushroom pie, bangers + mash and fish and chips was teh main course - all excellent in ample... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
