Good food. Good menus. Good young chefs who are not afraid of challenges. Not lame yet classic. I like the food here. Can definitely do better with the portions. Recommend the scallops and lamb. Desserts are also good.

For a 10 course degustation dinner menu, $900 hkd is such a bargain, especially for the quality of food and service. You can tell the chef put in a lot of heart and soul into each dish. Every course is beautifully presented. All the elements on the dish compliment each other. The menu changes every season, but some of the... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the dinner which was a feast for the senses. Visually stunning, and dishes were top quality.

My wife and I are still buzzing over our dinner at LPW last night (16th). Take a space the size of half a living room (in Switzerland atleast!) of about 25 meters squared. Put a kitchen in the middle of it and seats for 26 people around the kitchen. Add in six folks doing the cooking and preparation, which is... More

I dined at Liberty Private Works, a little nervous about the high cost. I decided to go all in and have the matching wines which was a decision I didn't regret. The meals and wines were exquisite. I enjoyed watching the dishes being prepared, then hearing about each course and wine before getting to taste them. While the price is... More

I'd read many great reviews but was struggling to find anyone amongst my acquaintance who had actually visited, although all had heard of LPW. 10 days ago I tried to book, was informed they were full and went onto the waiting list. Thursday I heard from them that a cancellation was available, so I jumped at it. The whole form... More

Had to make reservations far enough in advance but wow! Totally worth it. To see the chefs prepare a ten course meal in front of my eyes -- so quick, so clean, so creative, so delicious! I eat out often but I didn't know what to expect from Chef Vicky Cheng -- I was blown away. He was there, throughout... More

From time to time you need to treat yourself to a full on gourmet experience, and there is no where better than Liberty Private Works. 10 courses of shear pleasure on a plate. Menu's are fixed (although a few if options for those which allergies, etc.) and they change one dish off the menu each a week. Advance bookings necessary.

I have been to LPW twice and absolutely ADORED both experiences. It is quite difficult to get a booking but absolutely worth the struggle. it is a very small restaurant which makes the dining experience quite intimate and the head chef, Vicky Cheng, and his team prepare everything in front of you in a seamless almost theatrical performance. They explain... More
