Was introduced to this place through the word of mouth of some very satisfied friends. I've always been a head-nodder for different Asian cuisines. Having a flare for trying new things, yet being picky - makes it a little difficult for me to find a decent place that I can go back to on repeat. Chom... read more

We live in the neighborhood and head to ChomChom once every other week or so because the food is that good. The Beef Tartare and Pho Rolls are must haves on the menu. They also do a good job of rotating in different specials that we always give a try and are rarely dissapointed. If you go at a busy... More

My son and I were in Hong Kong for a week and decided to try out a bunch of restaurants. Hands down, Chom Chom was our favorite. The food was DELISH and the ambiance was really fun. It was pretty crowded so we sat at the bar and it was really fun watching them make all the food and drinks.... More

I love this place! Here all the time, for drinks on the stoop or the amazing smoked eggplant and crab dish. Everyone is friendly, and the staff has an amazing ability to remember faces. It's nice to be recognised after a few visits! I'm not a beer drinker, so i stick to the fun, Vietnamese-inspired cocktails (the Pho-jito always cracks... More

fun environment, good service, good music BUT price tag is expensive for what it is. food is fine, not good, not great. small plates so you order several and it adds up to a hefty price tag for high msg food that leaves you not so happy after the fact. too bad, it really does have good ambiance.

Dear Aquaks,   Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.    At Chôm Chôm we use only the highest quality ingredients and never add MSG to any of our dishes so we are disappointed that you didn’t feel that your meal offered value for money.   We recommend guests order a selection of dishes from the menu,... Every time I've been to Chom Chom I'm thoroughly impressed with the freshness of the food and vibrant flavors. My only vice with this place is that you have to go super early to ever get a table since they don't take reservations. But I guess I kind of get the hype :)

Came here on NYE following a friend's recommendation who lives nearby. Overall observation is that they treat their regulars well, but not as well for people they don't know. We were given a seat at the bar even though there were available tables. A couple regulars dropped in without a booking and they asked for a table and were given... More

Nice little lively restaurant in Soho. Really great vietnamese food and cold beers. Good for an informal dinner with a few friends. Also nice to sit outdoor and enjoy the street crowd

The food was fantastic at ChomChom. The restaurant is in a really cool part of Central HK with lots of little bars and restaurants around it. The food was served quickly, was spicy, fresh and delicious. It's reasonably priced and serving sizes are generous. Try the Beef in Betle leaves.

Went to this pace for dinner and drinks. Wow is all I can say. Great cocktails and food is fantastic. The black cod and beef salad are a must try. Oh and prawns and palmelo salad too.

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
