Tasty, fresh, full of flavour, great!

The restaurant has a good location. The food is amazing, very modern and delicious. I could eat and eat without stopping. Reasonably priced. The only disadvantage is the staff which is not very friendly and "looking at you" to check if you have already finished as there is no reservation and people... read more

Very convenient and nice place to go for Diner. Food is good, service is also good and I really like sitting outside and watch people walk by in this busy street! I have been many times and would go again..

The food is too good to be just 'bar food' but the 'no bookings' policy and casual dining atmosphere means that this is what it is; but that is all it should be ad it really works! This is a venue to settle into and watch the steady stream of the 'mid levels tribes' make their way past on their way... Very good Vietnamese food. Recommend the crab fried rice and tuna pho rolls. Small restaurant so you may have to wait for a table, but it is worth it.

Great ambience and service and definitely tasty food, this is to Vietnamese food what 22 Ships is to Spanish and Chachawan is to Thai. Modern, simple abc reasonably priced . However , it lacks the basic Vietnamese authenticity. Having said that we will be back

Dear Peter K, Thanks for your review. The menu at Chôm Chôm is inspired by Hanoi-style street foods and the city’s beer drinking culture. You are correct that we do not offer certain traditional dishes, like pho; our goal is to highlight other dishes like Cha Ca Hanoi and Ginger Chicken, along with an excellent range of refreshing Vietnamese beers.... Nice place, good Vietnamese food, good location, but it is still a little overpriced. The good thing is that you can wait outside with a beer from the ice bucket, until your table is ready.

I've eaten here a few times and every time the food is exceptional, every item on the menu I've tried has been good (would be good to have more choice of dessert). A great fun atmosphere, with lots of noise, a live kitchen (try to sit at the bar if there are two of you), and friendly staff. It is... More

A very short menu albeit delicious Viet food with a slight twist. Good cocktails, tight fit yet high energy .. no reservations so one can hang out on the street with a drink. Hip Hong Kong, all in all, fun!

The place is noisy and warm (in a nice way), people seem to be having a good time but one must admit the food is overpriced for what is, to be precise, large snacks. Also the food is too tasty. I am NOT saying they use MSG but if they don't they use a lot of salt or something else.... More

Dear MIchiu4, Thanks for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t fully enjoy your meal with us. At Chôm Chôm, we serve Hanoi-style street foods that are meant to pair well with beer. This means that our dishes are packed with flavour, and the restaurant itself is meant to be bustling. We can assure you that we use... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
