Happy Hour !

It's perfect for all the food needs you may have during the day . I personally like the Aperitivo happy hour after work , around 6-7pm . I'd like to stay outside but also inside and upstairs you can enjoy (better for dinner) . I recommend it

Third visit and they had a Dinner set for 399 - 4 courses. Each course was exqusitly prepared and tasty incl. the presentation. 2 items for each course to choose from and my partner and I tried almost everything. The desserts were Panna Cotta and Tiramisu, both excellent as well. Had the Vitello Tonnato previously, probably best this side of... More

I've gone several times to their happy hour and have always loved the ambiance as well as the free canapes. This weekend, I and a friend were looking for an Italian restaurant and so we decided to try the food at La Piola, once that we already loved the environment there. We went for dinner and we were both very... More

The bar on the outside is nice for happy hour drinks and free canapés. But after that I went for dinner which was extremely disappointing. We had the chicken "Kiev" and the pork belly. The former was filled with mashed potato and just simply rather dull and lifeless. Didn't look like anything Italian I have ever seen before. The pork... More

My saviour after three days of sushi and chinese food... finally discovered it by chance and recognised the brand name of the restaurant from my home town in Italy. Couldn't believe my eyes... we went straight inside. No need for further comments. This place is a guarantee! Recommend, recommend, recommend!

Just off the mid levels escalator this bar is well positioned and has a great atmosphere. Right on the street, you find many people enjoying an aperol spritz (might even be one of their signature drinks. Regardless this is a great place to sit and enjoy this area over a drink. During their happy hour there are plenty of eats... More

La Piola bar in Central area in Hong Kong is a good bar. It is in a corner on a busy street and there is seating both outside and inside. We were served complimentary bite-sized snacks which was good. We ordered some cold cuts and cheese and that turned out to be quite good too. Staff is friendly and service... More

My husband and I went here for lunch and had the set-menu. For £18 each (UK money), this included a buffet starter (lovely fresh salad leaves, tomatoes etc, cold meats, spinach muffins), followed by a main course (choice of veggie pasta, fish or meat) followed by a hot drink or the Chef's Dessert. We had the dessert, which was a... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
