This used to be one of my favorite places in HK, good quality for aperitivo's snacks, nice environment and prices in the average of the city. In the last year the quality of the food used for snacks has decreased a lot, many times food taste old and dry, especially pizza is often poor of garnishment and little burned on... More

We decided to stop here for a drink while we tried to locate another bar in the area but instead we ended up staying here for a couple of hours. The bar has a good selection of wines and spirits and has a nice buzzy atmosphere (we visited on a Sunday afternoon). The drink prices are average for Hong Kong... More

We went for dinner, kids were satisfied with the steak and the spaghetti, but the rest was a disappointment. The beef ragout appeared to be nothing more than mince with packet pasta, served as a main in a size smaller than a typical starter. The beef cheek was presented well, but lacked both flavour and texture. Service was above average.... More

Walking through Soho area around lunchtime I stumbled upon this bar/restaurant and went on in. It was Sunday and clearly Hongkongers eat later than me. I arrived 1pm to an empty restaurant (though there were patrons in the bar), which isn't normally a good sign. However as I sat and ate it started to fill up and there were few... More

Visited La Piola for a drink and Apertivo on a recent weekday. It is a pleasant restaurant with subdued/ruatic atmosphere and decor, friendly staff, and extensive (and authentic) Italian menu. They even have a traditional Italian Apertivo (happy hour, food buffet) which reminded me of Florence. While definitely on the pricey side (especially cocktails), we enjoyed the visit.

Didn't eat but sat down for some much needed drink and r&r. Really nice place and great location. Really loved the outside bar, no risk of missing the street life. Well worth a visit.

go there for Aperitivo, Dinner or After-Dinner ... just for an Espresso in the middle of the day, or an Amaro late in the night, the location is great and close by other great fun places but a little apart from the too crowded and noisy spots. Food quality...outstanding with prices in line or slightly above the average for HK... More

We were recommended La Piola and we were not disappointed at all. We took the advice of our waiter on the food choice and it was excellent. If you want to eat traditional Italian regional food it is a must. We really enjoyed our time at La Piola.
