Good food overall. Service was good. Wine selection excellent. Not five star but well worth a visit. Excellent cheese platters! The lava chocolate cake in the end is great, but please do add real raspberry for a complete experience.

Overall we had a great evening out. After a few days of Asian food and before heading out of HK to other parts of Asia, we wanted something Western. Tripadvisor lead us to La Piola. Great Spritz's. Last time I had this good of a Spritz, we were skiing in the Aosta valley. Just fabulous. Starters good, especially the ham... More

To celebrate my few days in the land of the US$300/night budget hotel, thought I'd splurge at a nearby Italian. Good atmosphere, good crowd at the bar, but frankly although the food's reasonable, someone's making a pretty penny out of it. Starter of Tuscan bean soup. Rustic, nice, but underseasoned. Absolutely not a patch on "peasant" soups of Andalucia like... More

The pasta is to die for and the kitchen pays special attention to quality products and freshness. The establishment is lively and feels rooted in their Central neighborhood location.

Unfortunately we cannot comment on the food as we had another tapas bar on our schedule. We did stop for a glass of wine and were immediately taken by the atmosphere the staff and the service. This place just has FEEL....it felt bloody comfortable, almost neighbourly. It opens onto the street and the patrons appeared to be varied with "suits"... More

The food is absolutely delicious, authentic Piedmontese cuisine, so something different from the usual Italian restaurants. As appetizers we shared mixed cold cuts and cheeses, top quality. After that I had the tajarin in sugo di lepre (home made pasta with rabbit sauce) and my friends had meat. All three of us were more than satisfied. Price is reasonable and... More

This is by far the most authentic and delicious Italian food I enjoyed in Hong Kong, paired with an exhaustive wine list. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable - unusual in HK. Though the restaurant does not emphasise on it, the quality of the ingredients used is first class. Also great for an "Apero" and to mingle with the... More

Just amazing. Ground level there is the bar (nice place also to go just take an aperitif or an after-dinner), first level the restaurant. The dishes are cooked in traditional way, not elaborate but very tasty. I suggest to order the sliced poached veal served cold with "tuna sauce" and the traditional "ossobuco alla milanese". The owner and the manager... More
