Good experience, but I won't be dreaming about it.

Came here with 3 other adults for dinner. Place has amazing service and the food is innovative and tasty. I've never been to a 2 Michelin star restaurant before so I have nothing to compare it to - but for the price (about HKD $4700/USD $500 for 4 pax), It didn't meet my expectation. We had the... read more

The chef's menu is definitely to be recommended. It's not cheap but very fine tasting and delicate. The surroundings are splendid.

Supposed to be 2 Michelin star restaurant, but service not even close. Wine spilt when poured, with no apology. I was still eating my complementary taster when the waiter took my plate away. I said that I hadn't finished & a bowl was pushed in front of me. Unsatisfactory! Appetizer was lovely, but again, I hadn't finished when suddenly my... More

Visited there with family and friends. Occupied the private dining room. Very spacious as it can accommodate up to 15 pax. Food was decent. The chef was currently working on a Shangri-la world tour, so the menu we took was tuned towards the taste of westerners (with ingredients like white truffle, iberico pork). Personally I am quite impressive with the... More

I have eaten in Michelin star restaurnants in London, Paris, Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Bangkok and more. This restaurant is nowhere near a 2 star astandard. Food is very tasty, but no better that many others except 3 times the price. Waiting staff dump food in front of you, don't tell you what it is and rush you. I asked about... More

We are fans of the Shang Palace and have eaten there twice before, loving it. Unfortunately on this night things just weren't up to scratch. The service was, as always, exceptional, but our meal was disappointing. We had the pork belly for an entree and it was exceptionally well cooked - soft slow-cooked pork with a crisp shell of skin... it was so far the best cantonese restaurant I've tried. (I tried, summer palace, duddell's, Yat Lok, crystal palace, tim ho wan and ho hung kee). Pork bun here is exceptionally good, and other small dishes were good as well. I found Abalone dimsum was a bit fishy but still i could find it okay. dishes here were not salty,... More

We can here in September and were treated to a lunch in the private room by our hosts. It was really very nice. The decor and ambiance was beautiful, and the staff was professional but also friendly.
