We seldom get down to Stanley so we were very much looking forward to going down there as a family to have breakfast this morning. Saffron LOOKED good so we went in there; I only wish I'd looked at Tripadvisor before going. Michaelf006 sums this place up well: "The drinks are expensive and the food is so so". CHECK. "Miserable... More

The bakery is really typically British, from food to decor. The food is very good but we had a problem with it: my dish came very fast, I ordered mashed and bangers and they were very good. But my fiancé ordered a grill cheese sandwich and tomato soup. It took forever. I was almost done with my plate, he went... More

My boyfriend and I enjoyed afternoon tea at Saffron Bakery Cafe, having been to Saigon for lunch. We ordered 2 breakfast teas and a huge slice of carrot cake. The staff were friendly, the cake was amazing, and there was plenty of space with a really relaxed atmosphere. If you're in Stanley and looking for a pit stop, I'd highly... More

Arrived all the way from central, just to be told at 20:00 on a Friday night that it's already closed ?!?! Somewhat disappointing.

Visited this restaurant in January. It was busy sunday. Ordered bagel with cream cheese charged HK$35. They dont issue receipt. I asked for tap water since their coffee is ridiculously expensive than Starbucks. I happened to eat my ordered bagels with fork and knife. I sliced a part and there, maggots on bagel. I certainly wont recommended this restaurant. Poor... More

Unfriendly and rude lady owner. Miserable staff. Waited 45 mins for a latte. Served our drinks in paper cups whist everyone else had proper cups and saucers. Expensive and poor quality and the table was dirty and previous plates etc had not been cleared away.

avoid this place, american woman owner is beyond rude, no wonder the place is empty most of the time, and the staff aren't treated very well ,therefore they are always lacking the staff. another case i assume of wealthy owners with money from elsewhere assuming they know how to run a business, they should definately not be in the service... How much should you pay to a restaurant that doesn't give you what they say they will? This place took 45 min to bring us a yogurt with granola and a slice of quiche. They substituted cheap terrible yogurt for what was supposed to be Greek style. The granola is actually ground up shortbread. The quiche was lukewarm from the... More

I was in their cafe, bought a coffee. Then I asked them a very simple question if they had any glue on hand. The white lady (most likely the owner) responded very rudely back saying, bakeries don't sell glue. No kidding lady. I'm obviously a tourist and in need of some. She was very nice to the Caucasian couple ahead... More
