This was place was chosen by our friend it was a last minute decision but we managed to get a table for party of 9 during the busy lunch hour for dim sum. Upon arrival we were ushered to a long table as all the round table had been reserved. The place & atmosphere was very relaxing not the typical... More

Given the rating of this restaurant we expected something special to end a six week journey to HK and Australia, which has taken us to many good restaurants. We were rather disappointed by the the overall experience, particularly as we paid HK2000 for what was essentially three mains to share plus wine (which was HK700 of the total). It is... More

We went for lunch on our first day in HK and had a fantastic initiation to this city's great restaurant scene at Island Tang. The decor is very warm, almost english "club style". We had several dishes, all perfectly executed. The service is attentive, wine was always poured at the right moment, in short a great address in central HK.

Service and assistance with the menu was excellent. Food was devine. We went with the house specialties. Not cheap, but lovely restaurant. Would go back.

Oddly, it is sometimes difficult to have immediate Chinese food in Hong Kong if you are staying in places like the Mandarin Oriental Landmark Hotel. Perhaps coals really aren't available in Newcastle anymore. Luckily, the conceierge desk (despite telling you everwhere is fully booked) can usually find you a convenient and sumptuous alternative to its largely western cuisine at the... More

We went for an impromptu Sunday dinner and were impressed by the stylish interiors, interesting menu and genuine service. The menu seems more modern than other traditional Chinese restaurants in HK yet still has all the classics. The duck and dim sum were excellent. Staff were friendly and keen to please. Wine was reasonably priced. Location is as central as... More

Heard a lot about the roasted meats. The char siee is to a foodie "to die for". It's so good we order 2 rounds! Other dishes we ordered was ok. Good service and all staff spoke English comfortably. Nice ambience as well. It's pricy though, although i look forward to returning soon :) 2 pax spent about HKD950 on 2... More

This place had a lot of good reviews which was why we went there. Decor was nice as other people mentioned. It looks like an oriental restaurant from the 1930's. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was a very mixed bag. Had some dim sum which were very tasty, in particular the baked pork ones. Ordered Peking duck after this... More

This is a great choice to dine in HK. Its central location, also makes it a perfect option for a lunch break while shopping. The atmosphere is sophisticated, the interior design impeccable, the ambience just great. Refined cuisine to satisfy all tastes, good service ...what more to ask of a place. Rather expensive overall, but worth it.
