This restaurant is so lovely and has a great atmosphere (even if it is in a shopping mall--level 2). The food was mediocre in my opinion. The staff was nice but they started out rushing us a bit. They finally figured out we were not to be rushed and let us enjoy our cocktails before we ordered. The soups were... More

Atmospheric Resturant with Colonial HK decor and Chinese efficiency. Wonderful food not the standard street fare. Staff presented in 1930s uniforms, not overly familiar waiters but attentive. Fun for a change from ultra modern HK

Another David Tang creation (China Club, Shanghai Tang etc) with classic decor, good efficient service and lovely food. There is a good wine list which caters for all budgets - something i really appreciate as some other restaurants of this calibre assume everyone can afford HKD1,000 per bottle. I have been here quite a few times now and it never... More

Be in no doubt, this IS one of the best restaurants any where. The food is sublime. Every dish was an absolute delight in culinary satisfaction. The service was ever present and accommodating without being obvious. The atmosphere was understated but very chic. Not at all what you expect from a restaurant in a mall. With all the above you... Everything about this restaurant breaths colonial times, the decor is very stylish and the service is great. They serve really good noodles as well.

Great food, good service. But beware of ordering the fish. We were not told the price for the small bowls of the market price fish and at the end of the meal when the bill arrived we discovered it was almost half the price of the total bill ! The fish came to $HK2,000 for four of us. And it... More

You may be paying more for your food here compared to other Chinese restaurants but you're paying for the atmosphere and service, as well as good Cantonese oriented food. Our table of 4 had Peking Duck (2 courses), sharks fin soup (sorry), typhoon shelter prawns, kailan and fried rice. Everything was fantastic. Definitely would recommend this restaurant for those wanting... More

This is great food in a slightly odd location, on the first floor of a not especially ritzy mall in Central. You wouldn't got for the view (there isn't one) or the hip and fashionable crowd (there isn't one). The decor is 30s Shanghai and very bright, which we found a bit disconcerting at night but is apparently typical -... More

went there twice in a row for business dinner... they have different room size to accommodate different number of people and i thought that is really thoughtful of the restaurant as the restaurant is not very big. the deco is poshy in the main dining area, but each of the function / private room is in retro deco, with a... Love the atmosphere. Smart, sophisticated. Love the dim sum. My favorites were barbecue pork buns, shrimp dumplings, Shanghai dumplings, green beans. I can't wait to return!
