Quality coffee

The shop is tiny, 8 people max can fit in it, but the coffee is really tasty and served at the right temperature. I tried espressos and cappuccinos there; baristas are consistent with each other and i was always satisfied with the beverage. Only the foam on the cappuccino could be improved, it is... read more

Tiny coffee shop.... serving REAL coffee. So far in my ongoing espresso tour of HK.. this espresso is at the TOP. Smooth taste, perfect temperature. The place is so small you can easily miss it. But once you slide open the door the friendly baristas extend a warm welcome. Not much space, but who's complaining!! Downed my coffee and was... More

Johnson has expanded his team, and both Amy and Grace are excellent baristas. Either of the three will make you the best flat white coffee this side of Darwin! The offering in terms of coffee varieties has expanded and drip and siphon paraphernalia are in use. When I went on Sunday a group of locals were having a serious tasting... More

Coco's cream puffs are the perfect balance of lightness and sweetness. The strawberry puffs are to die for! They let the fruit flavor shine without over sugaring. Mmmmmm! So good! And only $18.00HKD!

I have to say that this place has good coffee. Most important is that it has been consistent. Every time i have been i have had the same experience.

If you are an Aussie or an Italian craving really good espresso or a flat white, you may feel dejected, as it seems that most coffee in Hong Kong is pretty poor. Look no further than Johnson at Coco Espresso. He makes divine flat white coffee... he was trained in Melbourne... trust me, I live in Hong Kong and go... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighborhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
