Excellent to exceptional Spanish food in Hong Kong

We think Fofo is, arguably, the best Spanish (over-generalization, we know, but will have to suffice) restaurant in Hong Kong! Folks, when you want excellent to exceptional Spanish food and wine in Hong Kong, we highly recommend you visit Fofo! The initial slices of crispy bread with chunky and... read more

Read about this place on a magazine and decided to try. I emailed to ask about the paella and didn't get a reply for 3 days. No problem, I thought I'd just come in to try it in person. We first ordered a Spanish Lobster & Seafood Paella. We didn't order anything else because the paella was going to be... More

We booked the entire restaurant for our cozy wedding party of 80+ guests last friday. All my friends said the food was excellent. We had Iberico ham with toasted tomato bread, Scallop ceviche, avocado & crispy shallots, King crab salad, Saute prawns, Smoked salmon bag, Suckling Pig, Seafood Paella and Churros. Every single dish was delicious. They also serves the... More

Usually a great restaurant, with great tapas. Unfortunately, the food served during my last visit was coated in salt. To such an extent that it ruined the otherwise (assuming) very tasty food. Will go back for sure, even if to pick up another penguin to add to the collection or have a drink on the roof top however, am likely... More

I have frequented this restaurant on four occasions, at lunch time. The set menu is extremely good value. Thepresentation is superb. There are a selection of ten different tapas entrees to choice from, and you get to pick two. If you have a party of four you can order eight different dishes and although small are still sizeable enough to... More

Fofo does great Spanish food with an excellent Spanish wine list and attentive, enthusiastic and warm service. It's one let down has been the crashy acoustics of the dining room. It's a busy restaurant which is frequented by many large parties so noise levels could rise beyond the pain threshold as enthusiastic diners vie for each other for acoustic supremacy.... More

A local friend brought me here & we had their set lunch. Presentation of the food is very nice & tasted wonderful. Good ambiance of the restaurant too. Will definitely visit again when I travel to HK.

I was a little disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is terrific. The menu promises much but at least on the night I was there, didn't really deliver. We had the set menu which I assume showcased the best of the restaurant. It started out pretty well but by the time the paella came out I was kind... More

I guess delicious does not begin to describe my experience. Maybe since I am in Hong Kong I thought I would try out dim sum but then again it would be dim sum I would have tried before so I would have nothing to write about. So on the introduction from a dear friend I decided to try Fofo by... More

Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
