Thai Farmer is a small, simple Thai restaurant in Wan Chai. The decor is simple, but seating is comfortable and not too crowded. The menu offers traditional Thai cuisine and regional Asian dishes. Over the last four years, we have eaten at Thai Farmer approximately 20 times, and have never been disappointed. Portions are generous, and they will adjust the... More

Ate here with two mates (who are both Hong Kong residents of some 7 years) whilst on a recent business trip to Hong Kong... This restaurant is very small, only seats about 16 people, and the tables and interior-decor are basic (like a Café) but the food is superb, as is the friendly service with a big smile. We had... I have been visiting the Thai Farmer on my visits to Hong Kong for many years. The street is a bit nasty, and there is nothing special about the tiny restaurant itself. But the food is fantastic. I am a fan of the Thai Basil (usually chicken) myself.

I ran into this place one night when I was VERY tired and looking for somewhere not-so-crowded to eat before I went to my hostel and crashed. This place seemed to fit, so I popped in. The service was very good. They were on-top of things. The food? Meh. I ordered vegetable spring rolls which I *think* had egg plant... More

We stumbled upon this place the other night and went in for dinner. Squid was excellent, curry and pad Thai were fine, absolutely nothing wrong with them but no wow factor either. Restaurant is surrounded by go go bars so was full of young Thai women with old western men, not a great ambience. About £30 equivalent for 2 people... More

We went there for lunch on our last visit to Hong Kong and found the food was good and good value though one should expect to share a table during lunch time. We went back this time around 6:30 pm and the place was nearly empty thus no sharing of table. We ordered 3 dishes and the third one came... More

Me and my girlfriend love the food there. Basic and classical Thai dishes, but prepared with care and fresh ingredients. The taste and quality of some dishes are unbeatable... an experience like in Thailand.

Food is middle of the road but for a set lunch close to the convention center the price is very good. Clean restaurant. In the middle of the club district so the area is very crowded in the evenings.

Excellent little hole-in-the wall dining establishment. I went there after reading reviews on Tripadvisor, and was delighted with the find. Relatively inexpensive and the most authentic Thai cuisine I have stumbled over outside Thailand. The deep fried chilli fish hit the spot, and the frosty Singh beer was the icing on the cake. Service was swift, and I left completely... More
