meal for one

Thai Farmer is an small and easy place to grab a bite. The food was fresh and tables were full of wonderful looking dishes. Good favors but could have been a bit spicier. Will eat there again.

From the outside it looks nothing special but the food is amazing. This is possibly the best Thai food I've eaten in a long time. Friendly staff and a simple but Amazing menu. Love this place and will eat there again next time I'm in HK.

If you are in the area go to this restaurant, the place is quite small so it is hit and miss for table space but I was in a party of three and we never had to wait more than a couple of miniutes, the turn over is pretty good which means it is not a place for a long... More

I've been here once and only had 2 items so this is a limited review. I thought both of my dishes were very good, service was good and price was fair. I need to return and try more items

We discovered this place 5 months ago and have been returning every week since then. It's a tiny place that can seat a total of 36 people. It's reasonably priced (by Hong Kong standards) with a meal for 2 costing anywhere between 300-360 hkd. The ambience is nothing fancy but who cares when the food is so good. This is... More

This some 30-seats restaurant is run by the Thais. Two menus are available at lunch time : a la carte and set lunch. I usually take the set lunch and select one from the 6 choices. The set includes main dish, soup, dessert and drink. Fried noodle in Thai style is always my favourite. The price is very reasonable compared... More

Good food here. They use a lot of fresh Thai herbs which gives the food an authentic flavour. The location might put a few people off but there is quite a lively atmosphere in there. Great place to start a night in Wan Chai.

I dropped in and had Larb Moo and a coconut. Just what I needed at the time. Food was pretty good. Service was fast and pleasant. Prices O.K. for HK. Not flash, but good.

My fiancée and I found this place by mistake, but it turned out to be a very nice meal. The restaurant is not big, but personally I think it makes it more personal. The owner welcomed us, took our orders, and talked to us for a while (mostly because the place was empty as it was Wednesday at around 3pm).... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
