Fried Pigeon and Egg Tart

Hong Kong is the land of exotic food. I especially enjoy the fried pigeon at the Macau restaurant. The place is like the usual cafe in Hong Kong, old set up for chinese food but many guests. Immediately, my orders were baby fried pigeon, noddle with scallop and shrimp and egg tart. The food were... read more

I stayed at a hotel a few doors down from this restaurant and everyday I noticed that the restaurant always had a line out front. So of course I decided to go in and see why people would line up outside this restaurant waiting for a table. When I got me seat, I had to share a table with strangers.... More

This restaurant is good for a quick getaway food. We were not used to Hongkie service as they were rough & unassuming But once they knew we were foreigners, they mellowed. Over in my country, we pay once food is served but in Hong Kong, you only pay after you have finished.Reason. They want other guests to fill your table.I... More

They open early, and that's why I eat there! Most restaurants around this area are closed until 10 am! But this restaurant is busy! Prices reasonable. There are better tasting food elsewhere...but, when they are not opened, one has no choice.

We shared a nice meal here. The service was attentive and quick and it was not too expensive. We didn't have the seafood but they do have the fish tanks outside. The Honey Roast Pork was great.

We arrived in HK quite late, and we were looking for a place to have our late dinner. At 11:30, Macau Restaurant, was still buzzing! We love the food there and have always gone back. Aside from the typical Chinese fare, they also offer Macau dishes. We also love their Portuguese style egg tarts. They ran out most of the... More

We went in because it was highly recommended by a friend. We were assisted by this man who seemed to be irritated in serving. I didn't mind him initially as I knew that Hong Kong people and mainlanders are RUDE by nature. But then when I was given a menu - I wanted to see a picture menu - as... More

If you want to eat locally & cheap. This is the place, the service was good the food was generous portions & really tasty. I had the wanton noodle soup & crispy fried squid, my wife had the Macaun fried rice, with our drinks the price was such great value. This place is well worth a visit on Lock Street.

This is one of those local-y restaurants in TST and I eat here all the time when I'm there. It's simple stuff (noodles, rice, buns, etc.) but good and the service is fast. This is a solid choice if you're hanging out in TST and don't know where to go.
