We visited this restaurant expecting a special treat and were extremely disappointed. Food portions were tiny and the ingredients did not merit the exorbitant prices we paid. We left hungry. The food lacked imagination and flair. The restaurant was cramped and noisy. Very disappointing indeed. Definitely not worth what we paid!

After one week in Hong-Kong an dining at fantastic restaurant (my favorite for non-chines food: le Caprice) this evening at the overpretentious "Gold" was so incredibly awful combined with Goldstein in personam babbling dull and meaningless phrases about his wine list (overprentious, overpriced and fe really interesting wines, served by waiters who had no idea what wine serving is in... Went there for my friend's birthday, she tried a tasting menu including a the signature dishes, add a bit more with wine pairing which is a bargain. The portion is normal portion not like some other restaurants ... I had a lobster pasta and egg plant tart which are very good... All staff are very attentive and informative. Will go... More

Came here for business lunch & loved their quality & semi-buffet spread (Parma Ham, cheese platter, prawns, smoked salmon, mussels, whelk etc). Steak was done very well accompanied by good wine pairing. Great service albeit a little pricey. But definitely worth the visit!

We went for a Saturday brunch with another couple and were very pleasantly surprised. We had been unable to book a table at a few other places and this was actually our third choice but we will definitely be going again. The weather was lovely so we sat outside on the terrace, which was spacious but the table was a... More

The pasta and seafood was very good indeed - we had red prawns and parpadelle. The menu was talked up a bit and perhaps spoilt our expectations but it was still pretty good. Not the largest of portions but just right for fitting in 3 courses.

This was my second visit to this exceptional restaurant. The service and the food overall was a terrific experience. The breadbasket, which is often an indicator of the quantity of a restaurant, consisted of a very good choice of breads freshly made . My starter was a cold dish with a fruity sauce. This was followed with some of the finest... More

A fantastic dining experience awaits those who go to GOLD. Food and Service are very good and daily specials in addition to favorites on the menu. If you are lucky, you will meet the man himself - Mr. Harlan Goldstein. Usually crowded and suggest a reservation.

Food is pretty decent, nothing that great however it has a nice look and feel to it. If you want somewhere casual yet chic this is a good spot to go to.

An upscale restaurant by Harlan Goldstein who has made a name for himself in the local HK dining scene. His restaurants are usually casual yet upscale with a bit of the chic feel. This one is no different. Food though is average at best. Starters were good. The minestrone soup is excellent, one of the best in HK. The scallop... More
