Fair, worth a try if you want vegetarian food

This is our second time visiting this restaurant. Last time was three years ago. I felt the food is not bad but my wife enjoyed it a lot last time so we came again. The food this time was more or less the same as three year ago. I can certainly see why English speaking guests may have a poorer... read more

We came upon this place by chance, as it was not on the list of veggie restaurants we had compiled before we left home. We were very pleased with both the food and the service. Remember to ask if the dishes you choose are spicy, as many of them are, Portions are very big, so go with a hearty appetite,

When is eating healthy not? Seemed fine. A bit strange that table service didn't include napkins, but we shrugged and said it's China. Had really tasty soups, then started in on our hotpot when a cockroach crawled across our table. Pointed it out to waitresses. One came over and killed it and made no apology. Sick to our stomachs we... More

You don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy this food. If you're craving fresh and healthy food alternatives to the usual HK fare, this restaurant will satisfy. Located close to many TST hotels, Granville Road fashion and near to the Hong Kong Museum. There is a large selection of tasty dishes making it difficult to choose just a few!... More

Went back to Ah Sin again just before we left Hong Kong for home. Food is still consistently (good), nutritious, low on the oil and high on the flavour and texture. Quiet clientele, serene and pleasant dining experience. The vegetarian chicken with bitter melon and black bean sauce is divine! The owner comes by everyone's table to enquire as to... More

Now reviewing a restaurant after having been there once, and dining alone (and thus not having ordered an assortment of dishes), this review should be viewed in that perspective. I ordered the vegetable hot pot with vermicelli noodles. It was a lot of food (listed at 55 HKD on the menu, but somehow my bill was 80HKD, presumably for tea... More

This place is amazing. Even if you are not vegetarian, and are looking for something different from the usual BBQ pork and other high-caloric fare which Hong Kong has to offer, this is a wonderful alternative A quiet restaurant, exceptional food, every dish we have ever tried there (and we have been there more than once), has been excellent. We stopped in to Ah Sin Vegetarian after a pleasant visit at the Hong Kong Museum of History. Although the waiting staff did not speak english they did have available menus with some photographs and with english descriptions of the dishes. We ordered a mixed vegetable with chestnuts and a broad noodle with chilli sauce. Neither dish was exactly what... More

My husband and I went to the restaurant twice while we were staying in Hong Kong in February. The place was located on a busy street where many restaurants and small shops were around. It was clean, cozy and certainly popular amongst locals. Meals were delicious and flavoursome. Although dishes seemed to contain fish or meat, they were made all... More

My husband and I are not practicing vegetarians, however, due to some cultural differences in food preparation, when traveling throughout Asia, we feel more comfortable eating Vegetarian food. We were delighted to discover Ah Sin Vegetarian restaurant while walking around Tsim Sha Tsui. Conveniently located on Chatham road in the heart of the shopping district, Ah Sin was just what...
