The rooftop bar is beautiful. We went early for our dinner reservation. Descent wine list, but not outstanding. The restaurant is primarily a steak house. Everything was fine. The only thing missing was friendly service. The bar staff as well as the servers in the restaurant seemed very put out. A fairly grim group. But the view can compensate. They... More

Had a 12oz medium rare filet I believe. The steak was good, not exceptional. The service was also good not exceptional. The suggested wine was very good. Desert fair. Unfortunately did not have a chance to check out the rooftop lounge.

Drinks on the rooftop bar overlooking the Happy Valley Racecourse is a great way to spend an evening. You also get views out over the harbour towards Quarry Bay and you can make out the ICC building with it's LED light displays. The food in the steakhouse is good, but we had a few service issues (particularly a meal being... More

The views are amazing! We got a table right overlooking the Happy Valley Racetrack and later went up to enjoy the rooftop views from the bar/lounge area – wonderful! Our steaks were great and cooked to perfection although the bill was a bit steep (over £150 for two with a shared starter and shared dessert)… Still, if you feel like... More

Not an inexpensive meal, but I really wanted to get a steak fix before flying to India for 2 months so exactly what I needed. Good wine selection, great service & stunning skyline views

Maybe it's because I went with two Aussie friends, or maybe it's just because I love steak (and a nice wine selection) but Wooloomooloo Steakhouse really ticked a lot of boxes for me. The steak itself was cooked as requested (medium on the rare side), and was a very nice bit of beef indeed. The wine list was pretty comprehensive... More

This is really a great place to eat. I recommend to start with the drink in the al fresco bar with stunning view of Kowloon. The selection of wine is wonderful. Try San Pedro de Yacochuya which is cuvee made of Malbec and Caberner Savignon.

Delicious steaks, generous portions & a good wine list combined with great views make for a nice dining experience. It was the most expensive meal we had in HK but worth a visit for a special occasion.

Maybe it was the day we went (Sunday lunch time ) but the place was empty and lacked any spark or energy. Views are good and plentiful , with very attentive staff. Steaks were very good , but my other two diners who had no steaks were not that happy with their food. Wine was expensive and choice so so.... More

Had an amazing dinner with friends, crazy view over Hong Kong Island. Cozy place, nice steaks and good wines. Staff could do with some proper hospitality training though, some miss basic etiquette.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
