Despite being sandwiched between two large tourist hotels (Eaton and Novatel), this is a local joint. It also happens to be part of a chain, although I'm not sure how big of a chain it is (saw other Tsui Wah restaurants in HK and Kowloon and at the airport). Good food. Fast service. expect it to be... read more

great prawns and noodles, quick service from the yellow coat head waiter. Opposite the Eaton hotel, just ignore the street tailor next door!

MANY of my friends tell me 翠華餐廳 is not good. But I know it is well known so I tried... However, noodles are too salty and not fresh at all..So I never want to go there anymore!

We went to that restaurant on the first night we were in Hong Kong on the strength of the good reviews in Tripadvisor. It is not a gourmet delight but food was reasonably priced and tasted OK. We went there also on our last night because we were running out of time and this place is right across the road... More

We had the wonton noodles and a fried rice. Wontons were so tiny. Rice was rather bland. It was right opposite the hotel and we needed some quick late-night comforting. It's really just meh.. I'd skip it for better options like on temple street or something.

Great spot for a cheap feed - Don't expect anything glamorous, this is your Formica table type of restaurant with a fast-paced and frenetic level of service and all the noise that accompanies it Food was really good, quick and well priced. They're not licenced but don't mind you bringing in your own grog and with a 7/11 next door... More

I always visit this restaurant when I am in Hong Kong. I LOVE the condensed milk toast bun. Simple delicious! How I wish they have a branch in Singapore.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in HK. It represents the city of HK just as it is: Fast, Noisy, Rude but absolutely GREAT VALUE. The food is very affordable and amazing tasting. It's a must do in this great fast passed city and open 24 hours in most places

I ate almost everyday when i visited HK in September. The food will all delicious regardless what dishes we order. The pricing will quite value for money as the portion they served are not small but reasonably big. They have set meal for less than S$15 that comes with drink and soup and main course. Overall a nice eating place for... More

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
