Stayed at Eaton hotel across the road. Had breakfast at Tsui wah a few times. Nice and quick meal. No frills. Had a evening meal there as well. Very good wanton noodle. Portuguese vegetable rice was good. Fried fish skin was really nice.beef brisket noodle was above average. No problem with the waiter/waitresses. The lady at the cashier was a... More

A branch is never far away from whichever neighborhood you might be in. Our hotel was in TST East and just around the corner was a branch. It is very busy at mealtimes but is open till 2am. Laksa is good here and so are many other dishes. Service is prompt.Price is affordable. Menu is varied and has enough options.... More

I found this place average at best; unfriendly waiters and slow service. tasteless noodles in spite of my telling them to make the food spicy.

A place to catch a quick meal but service is not good. The prices are not so cheap though. The typical Hong Kong Dim Sum.

Nice place to eat a quick local food. Service is not that great but you end up having your plate at the end. Food quality is equal to the price, which is fair. The menu offers a lot of options that even my picky wife was able to find something to her taste. Not the place to go if you're... More

Fast service and tasty food at cheap price. The set meal is only cost HKD42 and comes with one bowl of instant noodles, pork chop, tea/coffee and a bun.

Good restaurant. Specially the chicken related dishes are great. Certain tea time set and pretty good too.

A delightful, friendly place that served tasty food quickly in very generous portions at very reasonable prices. There were plenty of dishes, predominantly Chinese, to choose from. We spent about HK$150 for a meal for two of us, and went back several times. The staff happily accommodated westerners who were incompetent with chopsticks but kindly helpful when we asked for... Food was ok but service was horrible. The place is a hole in the wall - which is fine, as long as the food is good. Be aware they won't take credit cards. They won't even take my $500 bill that I accidentally left in the wash because it looked funny.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighborhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighborhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamorous or busy as its neighbors Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighborhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighborhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
