Great half way spot for drink

If you are taking the numerous escalators/stairs up or down from Central towards the Peak, this is a great stop off for a drink and a place to watch the world go by from. Guinness is delicious and cold, although at Hkg$65 /pint it's quite pricey, but worth it! Sports on TV if you're interested too.

Called in for drinks, which was OK, but felt like the place needed a revamp. Decided to order a cheese board, but the three cheeses were available we said OK, just two then. Proved to be very expensive and not at all worth the money. Would not recommend it. Then they overcharged us on the drinks, and pointed this out... More

Ok, this needs to be put into perspective. After living for nearly three years on the Chinese mainland, coming to Hong Kong and eating some traditional fish and chips and bangers and mash was like a man walking in the desert and drinking water for the first time in days. Therefore the food was unbelievably divine, like heaven sent down... More

This bar is in So ho and it's great for people watching. They do a great mojito . The food is good, not the cheapest . Staff very helpful .

We visited this restaurant a few years ago, but it wasn't called Yorkshire Pudding. I don't know if the name just changed (it was a pub back then too) or if it's a new restaurant. The old one we were impressed with, and when we came back to Hong Kong, we made a beeline for it. But this restaurant wasn't... More

i called in for lunch on my way to the peak, safe to say I was disappointed the services was slow even though it was relatively quiet. I ordered a giant Yorkshire and sausages which was cold and the peas weren't cooked.

Great bar for people watching as it's located right by the street escalators and with big open windows. Expat crowd but also a good mixture. Very friendly staff and good selection of beers and drinks. We had some light bites nachos and fries and were surprised how good the food was and how large the portions were. Overall, nice atmosphere... More

The quality of the modern English food is excellent with new twists on classic roasts and carveries. Table service could be a bit more attentive and the beer selection improved beyond the few big breweries on tap.

Probably better for lunch than after work dinner when it gets busy. In bustling Soho area next to the elevators heading up to Mid Levels so fairly easy to locate. Had lunch there and went for the roast beef and yorkshire pudding. Genuine food (I lived in UK for around 2 decades!) Better than I expected. Friendly service and decent... More

A friend and I, both Americans, visited for a Thursday dinner because I had had a recommendation of the restaurant by a British friend. Its menu identifies Yorkshire Pudding as a gastropub, and I have to agree, as it struck me more as a pub that also serves food rather than a restaurant that also serves drinks. My friend and... Staying in Central

Neighborhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
