Food was mediocre and overpriced. Roast meats were too salty, didnt have the udual flavour u expect frm hk roasts. The platter was overpriced (char siew, pork belly, duck, chicken for 200 hkd), and small. Waitress tried upselling us, recommending all the overpriced dishes when ordering. Non existent service, yet a 10% service charge was levied at the end. Very... More

This little restaurant was near the night markets, we had a very tasty noodle dish and some questionable pork sweet & sour ( didn't seem to be pork) the place was full of locals, very reasonable prices

We had been walking round the Temple Street market area and as we couldn't find the small restaurant we ate at about 3 years ago we finally called off the search and went here instead. Compared to other restaurants nearby it's actually quite large inside. The waitress gave us about 3 different menus in English as we couldn't read the... More

I visited with a colleague. We are westerners, but long-time residents of HK and my colleague speaks perfectly adequate Cantonese. Without being asked, we were given their English menu, which contains a tiny subset of the Chinese menu and at MUCH higher prices. We ordered from the Chinese menu, including an item that wasn't even on the English menu. Despite... More

Had roasted duck leg at this outlet for brunch with wanton noodles. The duck meat was meaty and succulent. Well-roasted, not dry unlike elsewhere (e.g. Tsui Wah).

I ate here with my dad, as it was close to our hotel and looked promising. I remember getting duck, which was very tasty. To top it off, the waitress was pretty friendly, too. Unfortunately, appearances can be deceiving. A couple months later, a Hong Kong friend showed me a website with a news story on this restaurant. The report... More

On the eve of my departure 4/4/13 from HongKong, I found this huge gem. I nic-pick on certain traditional dishes because nowadays, because everyone is watching either the amount of fat on their meat or their cholestrol, true taste has sometimes gone out the window. Guangdong Barbeque Restaurant served up the best 'cha siew' I've had in years. As in... More
