Description: Concept Reminiscent of an ancient family courtyard in one of Peking's fast disappearing hutongs (courtyard houses set between narrow lanes), Hutong’s interiors are set against the most breathtaking skyline of any international metropolis. This is not the only surprise. The sense of adventure and sheer avant-garde creativity continues in the innovating cuisine inspired by the culinary styles of Peking and Shandong province.International accolades Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2009Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2008Asia's Top 20 Restaurants – The Miele Guide 2008/2009Asia Best Restaurant Award – Asian Legal Business 2007Destin Asian February/March 2006Capital HMC – Luna Treasure February 2006Prestige (HK) – Luna Treasure February 2006Hong Kong’s best restaurants – Condé Nast Traveller – Hot Tables (UK) May 2005Wallpaper (UK) March 2005Condé Nast Traveller (UK) November 2004Vogue Entertaining + Travel (Australia) Aug 2004Travel + Leisure (US) August 2004Cuisine Contemporary northern Chinese with inspiration from the Sichuan and Shandong provinces, and some traditional Peking dishes

Great atmosphere, terrific view, even service ok for a restaurant in Hong Kong. Food is absolutely marvelous. Don't expect standard Beijing food but innovative dishes combining the best of Chinese cuisines into a delicious blend.

I don't know if it's what we chose - but all the food, while incredibly tasty, was pretty (chilie) hot! Ribs were great, 'turnip' rolls were cold (should have read the menu better!) - but the view was fantastic. Expensive - but if you're looking for a special meal with the "postcard" view of HKG - then it's not a... More

I find that Hutong is one of those places that's great to dine at not so much for the food but more for the atmosphere and its amazing view of the harbor facing Hong Kong Island. The Beggar Chicken (roasted stuffed with Chinese pickles, pork and mushrooms) and The Crispy Duck are House Specialties. Reservations are a must especially if... More

We were allocated a private booth but still experienced the special atmosphere.Dimmed lights but plenty of excited chatter from guests. We were a group of 6 including 2 grandaughters (13 & 10) & had a wonderful evening. All dishes were excellent but the crispy skin duck pancakes were outstanding - the best I have tasted.I heard later that the chilli crab is... Visited Hutong while on a short vacation in Hong Kong, the food was exceptional and a change from the usual local fare. The view over Hong Kong island was fantastic. Well worth a visit even though we felt a little hurried as we had an early booking and our table had a subsequent booking.

We had a private room as there were 10 of us. You get to observe a chef making noodles which is amazing the way he does it. We opted for the set menu which was truly yummy some of the food we had consisted of Sweet Chilli prawn which was soooooo big, Dumpling in soup, meat, veal chops and alot... More

The decor is superb, the staff are very good. The food was amazing.. We loved the San Choy Bau, the lamb and the scallops with pomelo. The sun setting and the lights going on is just wonderful.

We originally booked for 5 and needed to increase to 6 which proved to be more difficult that thought but after asking to speak to the Manager - William, commonsense and customer service prevailed and we were allowed to squeeze onto 1 table instead of two collocated tables with 3 on each table. We choose the Ala Carte menu and... More

The service and views are first rate. We ordered the banquet was good but we then ordered a few dishes off the menu and they were sensational.
