Description: Concept Reminiscent of an ancient family courtyard in one of Peking's fast disappearing hutongs (courtyard houses set between narrow lanes), Hutong’s interiors are set against the most breathtaking skyline of any international metropolis. This is not the only surprise. The sense of adventure and sheer avant-garde creativity continues in the innovating cuisine inspired by the culinary styles of Peking and Shandong province.International accolades Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2009Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2008Asia's Top 20 Restaurants – The Miele Guide 2008/2009Asia Best Restaurant Award – Asian Legal Business 2007Destin Asian February/March 2006Capital HMC – Luna Treasure February 2006Prestige (HK) – Luna Treasure February 2006Hong Kong’s best restaurants – Condé Nast Traveller – Hot Tables (UK) May 2005Wallpaper (UK) March 2005Condé Nast Traveller (UK) November 2004Vogue Entertaining + Travel (Australia) Aug 2004Travel + Leisure (US) August 2004Cuisine Contemporary northern Chinese with inspiration from the Sichuan and Shandong provinces, and some traditional Peking dishes

This place is all about the look, and the experience. We went for a sunday buffet lunch. Food was mediocre, but service and ambience was top notch. They do fun puppet shows for the kids (and those young at heart) on sundays, with noodle making demos and all sorts. The staff are friendly and efficient. The décor is oriental funk... More

This restaurant has a wonderful view and its food is also fantastic. The ambiance was old world with a modern touch, really cool. It is a bit pricey as you can have a great meal for $10.00 but its worth it for a special occasion.

The Hutong is an extra ordinary fine dining experience. Firstly please get a table reservation next to the window. The view is fabulous and at 8pm you can watch the laser show across the bay. Reservations are essential-it is a small restaurant with less than 20 tables and 3-4 private rooms for larger and private groups. Staff speak English; the... More

Food was pretty good. Service pretty good. There was a show of a chef making noodles around 9pm. We had some cocktails but they were a bit on the sweet side for our taste.

A group of three, we were lucky to get reservations. Hutong is a very trendy place, and the food is equally trendy. Good, old favourites are served with a modern twist, such as duck, lamb, and chicken. Portions were very generous, We had the lamb -- crisp and just right. The duck was incredibly tasty, while the soft shell crab... More

The view and ambiance are much better than the food but if you are looking for an experience and Chinese food, Hutong is one of the best places to go, especially if you can be there for the light shows at 7:45pm or 9pm nightly. A few of the dishes were great (chili prawns, poached won-tons & beef tenderloin skewers)... More

Located on the 28th floor this restaurant has great views over the harbour to Hong Kong Island. The Hutong speciality dishes on the menu are all nice and spicy, so if you like a good flavour kick and a bit of heat in your Chinese food the these are the dishes to select. The menu is extensive, and when we... More

We booked a table for 6.15pm on a Tuesday evening. They said they would hold the table for 15 minutes and there was a standard minimum of $400 per person. On arrival, we shown to a table in south west corner with an unbelievable view, sweeping from the ICC, over the islands to the west (Lantau) and the impressive cruise... More

Made a reservation based on a friend that was a local in the past. What a beautiful setting, overlooking Victoria harbor. The food was very good and the presentation was spectacular. The only negative is that it really is touristy and VERY expensive. Glad I went but won't go back with those prices.

Went to "Hutong" already in November 2014 but didn't want to miss out on giving this fabulous restaurant my review. It was really fantastic - the food was amazing (!), the seating was wonderful/great ambience (!), as another reviewer put it: "the view is to die for", the staff was fantastic (!) - would definitely recommend going and am looking...
