Concept Reminiscent of an ancient family courtyard in one of Peking's fast disappearing hutongs (courtyard houses set between narrow lanes), Hutong’s interiors are set against the most breathtaking skyline of any international metropolis. This is not the only surprise. The sense of adventure and sheer avant-garde creativity continues in the innovating cuisine inspired by the culinary styles of Peking and Shandong province.International accolades Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2009Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2008Asia's Top 20 Restaurants – The Miele Guide 2008/2009Asia Best Restaurant Award – Asian Legal Business 2007Destin Asian February/March 2006Capital HMC – Luna Treasure February 2006Prestige (HK) – Luna Treasure February 2006Hong Kong’s best restaurants – Condé Nast Traveller – Hot Tables (UK) May 2005Wallpaper (UK) March 2005Condé Nast Traveller (UK) November 2004Vogue Entertaining + Travel (Australia) Aug 2004Travel + Leisure (US) August 2004Cuisine Contemporary northern Chinese with inspiration from the Sichuan and Shandong provinces, and some traditional Peking dishes

Fancy Chinese Restaurant with a View

This is a popular high end Chinese restaurant with a spectacular view of Hong Kong Island. Food, decor and service is excellent. Ideal place to impress some fussy diner but I could as well enjoyed Chinese cuisine in some of the more local establishments.

The view is unequaled and the food was exceptional. The service was great, but given the volume of visitors they let you know your time limit. Understandable given how fantastic it is, however. Don't let that dissuade you from going and enjoying - especially during the Hong Kong light show.

Hutong restaurant is sat overlooking Hong Kong Island and its city skyline from across the harbour. From its elevated position you get one of the very best views in Hong Kong - which is why I went there for Chinese New Year! The views were spectacular no question. The space itself had a buzz to it and was busy -... More

As vegetarian I had to request a small range of food. Still the rest of non-vegetarian group had a great time there and the food tasted good. Is highly priced but normal as one of the best world asian restaurants, still not so high prices compared with other restaurants. I do recommend the wine, it was a wonderful. And also... More

We enjoyed Hutong on a Saturday evening on a recommendation from a friend. The venue is beautifully decorated and well designed. Lots of attention to detail there. The view of the Harbout is one of the best and most tables allow you to enjoy this view. We had the tasting menu and sat back and enjoyed. If there was a... More

The ancient Silk Route goes back in time to the Hun dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD). It ran from the Mediterranean to East China, cutting through diverse landscapes - rough mountainous terrain often snow-covered, arid desert, vast stretches of tree-less spaces and everything in between. In their quest for the precious Chinese silk, merchants traveled in camel-led caravans experiencing... More

Definitely worth a visit, even if it's just for the view of the Hong Kong Island skyline at night. We visited with our son and his girlfriend who live in HK so they ordered a selection for us. Food was fabulous and we even tried jellyfish. The crab with chillies served in a big pot was excellent, as were the... More

My first time at Hutong and it didn't disappoint, if anything I had my expectations exceeded. My partner had eaten there once previously and loved the food and atmosphere, and it certainly lived up to everything I'd been expecting. The stunning views of Hong Kong are what first take your breath away, and I recommend booking at able that's next... More

Wow. Definitely worth booking a window table, the view is spectacular and the food definitely complements this. We were here with a group of 7 for dinner with it being recommend by one of the people with us who had been there before. I was not disappointed. Hong Kong at night is wonderful and our table had a great view... More

The food was well prepared with interesting combinations, slightly over-attentive service and not cheap. Try the shredded chicken with leeks
