Reminiscent of an ancient family courtyard in one of Peking's fast disappearing hutongs (courtyard houses set between narrow lanes), Hutong's interiors are set against the most breathtaking skyline of any international metropolis. This is not the only surprise. The sense of adventure and sheer avant-garde creativity continues in the innovating cuisine inspired by the culinary styles of Peking and Shandong province.

What a view!

As it was our first time to Hong Kong, a friend had recommended this restaurant as a good way to see the city lights, watch the light show, and eat some delicious Cantonese style food. The service was great, very attentive, and they made some good recommendations. We enjoyed everything we ate... read more

We were disappointed by this supposedly unique venue. OK, the decor was unusual, they had this big rickshaw like bicycle at the entrance, tables and chairs were sort of a quasi historical imitation. However, restaurant staff were cold and dismissive, not bothering to show any good manners even though we had a reservation and were seated by the window. We... More

We enjoyed the ambience and good food of this restaurant. The boneless duck was especially tasty. The service was prompt and the waiter we had was attentive. The view from this restaurant is spectacular! It is indeed the perfect place to watch the 8pm light show.

The restaurant is now badly run, my experience from my dinner last Monday 24th Aug 2015. Next dinning table had a 2 year baby crying. I complain to the manager and they did nothing. How can you bring a baby to dinner at 9 pm? It is very expensive and bad service. DO NOT BOOK THIS RESTAURANT ! Steve

This is what I would classify as "take out-of-towner business people here, but not worth paying with my own money" restaurant, but with an added caveat that the people I have to entertain don't really care/know about super tasty food. Sometimes I have to entertain work acquaintances who are either very familiar with high quality Chinese food or are huge... More

We went on our first night in Hong Kong and were shown to a table sunken into the corner of the restaurant with in my opinion the best view in the world , right onto Hong Kong Island. We had to take our shoes off to sit in that area but the table was so comfortable and slippers were provided... More

Food was quite nice. They let us wait for a table as we didn't book a table, although we noted several free tables which never were occupied again that evening. Probably to have us order a cocktail... Nice atmosphere with great view, also very friendly service

Food was excellent and plenty of choice. Good selection of dumplings, soups and other hot and cold dishes served in a buffet. Fixed price of HKD398 pp with a choice of main course from the menu. We sat in the window and had a great view. You can choose to have unlimited champagne for and additional HKD200 pp - Verve... More

The food is good, the service is good but the view is spectaclar. A hutong is a slum in Beijing and this very classy restaurant is meant to look like a fake old slum but it seems to work. Be sure you go to the bathroom. Its great in keeping with the theme.

Truly spectacular views of Hong Kong at night. Lovely food in excellent ambience. Very efficient staff. If you want exceptional Chinese food this is the place to come. Pricey but no more than expected given the location.
