Description: Concept Reminiscent of an ancient family courtyard in one of Peking's fast disappearing hutongs (courtyard houses set between narrow lanes), Hutong’s interiors are set against the most breathtaking skyline of any international metropolis. This is not the only surprise. The sense of adventure and sheer avant-garde creativity continues in the innovating cuisine inspired by the culinary styles of Peking and Shandong province.International accolades Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2009Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2008Asia's Top 20 Restaurants – The Miele Guide 2008/2009Asia Best Restaurant Award – Asian Legal Business 2007Destin Asian February/March 2006Capital HMC – Luna Treasure February 2006Prestige (HK) – Luna Treasure February 2006Hong Kong’s best restaurants – Condé Nast Traveller – Hot Tables (UK) May 2005Wallpaper (UK) March 2005Condé Nast Traveller (UK) November 2004Vogue Entertaining + Travel (Australia) Aug 2004Travel + Leisure (US) August 2004Cuisine Contemporary northern Chinese with inspiration from the Sichuan and Shandong provinces, and some traditional Peking dishes

The service and views are first rate. We ordered the banquet was good but we then ordered a few dishes off the menu and they were sensational.

A private room was made available to accommodate our group of ten (10). Delivering the privacy that was required, together with a beautiful view that overlooked the city skyline and harbour, made the restaurant the perfect choice to discuss business and mix pleasure. The host selected a sharing banquet menu and the high quality and freshness could not be denied.... More

Yes the view is GRAND, and yes the service is absolutely top class. We went for the banquet menu which has a wide assortment from their ala carte menu and everything was fresh and of high quality. For the Western palate, the soupy dessert was a bit of let down, though the chilli king prawn was sublime, so hit and... More

What a nice restaurant, we had a window seat, and a round table as we were with 5 persons. Servants were willing to make pictures of my family, food was good. During dinner we could enjoy the lightshow and also a demonstration how to make noodles by one of the Chef's. Clean toilets, definite worth going back to.

What a wonderful excursion to take the ferry over to Kowloon to have dinner, we loved the views of the city. I was concerned when I saw we were going to a high rise, but was delightfully surprised when we walked into this amazing restaurant filled with relics of the Hutongs. Such marvelous patina, giving the restaurant a great sense... More

In addition to the nice atmosphere, this place offers a very 'smooth' gourmet chinese food. Don't worry if you don't know what to order, you just sit down and they will bring you a full course of their most popular dishes. If you want to sample gourmet chinese food, go here

My family and I had a stroke of luck coming upon this restaurant, we hadn't booked but the staff managed to find a table for us regardless of the busyness of the restaurant. We were quickly attended to, and the service throughout the evening was fast and efficient. The food was unbelievable. I have eaten many chinese meals in my... More

Whilst this restaurant is expensive it is not worth going unless you can be assured on a harbour view - frankly that's where 1/2 your money is going. Our food was excellent and wine overpriced but no surprises there. Hutong has ambience, stunning views and fabulous food. Its a 'must do' if you're OK with the cost, can get a... More

The view from this place is sensational at night - try and get there around 8pm and the laser show from across the bay is a real sight ! You won't get a better view of a city skyline anywhere ! The food was classy, delicate and very well presented. The asparagus with sesame seed was divine. Service was attentive.... More

Good introduction for people who like Chinese food but are not yet ready for Chinese Chinese food. It is even better if you have a local to order the right combination of dishes.
