Description: Concept Reminiscent of an ancient family courtyard in one of Peking's fast disappearing hutongs (courtyard houses set between narrow lanes), Hutong’s interiors are set against the most breathtaking skyline of any international metropolis. This is not the only surprise. The sense of adventure and sheer avant-garde creativity continues in the innovating cuisine inspired by the culinary styles of Peking and Shandong province.International accolades Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2009Michelin Guide (Hong Kong & Macau) One Star Award Dec 2008Asia's Top 20 Restaurants – The Miele Guide 2008/2009Asia Best Restaurant Award – Asian Legal Business 2007Destin Asian February/March 2006Capital HMC – Luna Treasure February 2006Prestige (HK) – Luna Treasure February 2006Hong Kong’s best restaurants – Condé Nast Traveller – Hot Tables (UK) May 2005Wallpaper (UK) March 2005Condé Nast Traveller (UK) November 2004Vogue Entertaining + Travel (Australia) Aug 2004Travel + Leisure (US) August 2004Cuisine Contemporary northern Chinese with inspiration from the Sichuan and Shandong provinces, and some traditional Peking dishes

While in Hong Kong, my wife and I booked a dinner at the Hutong restaurant. If you go, be sure and book at 7pm, this will give you the opportunity to see the light show over Hong Kong that starts at 8pm. The view was absolutely spectacular, but the food wasn't that great in my opinion. We ordered the signature... More

This was our return visit and I booked the visit from Australia before we left. Once again the most enjoyable 2 1/2 hours with outstanding views of Hong Kong. The food was divine and worth the wait. However the service was down from the last visit. The waitress was arrogant and inattentive and kept knocking into our chairs whilst serving... More

If you are looking for a place to have a romantic or memorable dinner, this is an excellent option. Although the food is not the best, it's very good and we enjoyed it very much. Reservation is a must, the place is packed and you would expect a bad service but in our case it was very good, we were... More

The views from this restaurant were what drew us here but the food was similarly epic. We had trouble deciding what to order and evidently over-ordered... beautiful crispy lamb, soft-shelled crab ('red lantern'), amazing fish. The views were spectacular (although the windows needed a wash to ensure better photos!), and the service exemplary. Would recommend to anyone for a memorable... More

The best part about this restaurant is the great view over the Victoria Harbor and Hong Kong skyline. The lighting is very dark at night, but the setting is very romantic and offers one of the best views of Hong Kong anywhere. The food is typicaly Northern Chinese cuisine, synonymous of the Hutongs. If you enjoy spicy, strong flavors and... More

The views from the Hutong are great, and the light show at 8pm is good to see as well. It's very dark inside and the chairs are a bit on the uncomfortable side. The food was ok, but not outstanding. It's very spicy, with the sichuan peppers. I like hot food but those peppers are on another level. The service... More

My friend and I originally really wanted to go to Hutong for dinner to catch the light show, but the night that we wanted to make a reservation for, the restaurant was already booked for a private event. So we settled on bunch instead. I like that Hutong is super easy to get to via the subway (TST station- exit... More

We took a Junk across from Central Pier 9, which was a lovely experience. We watched the sun set and enjoyed a glass of wine on board. Then we arrived at the Aqua Luna restaurant group building and the view is breath taking. We enjoyed a cocktail here. So a great start to our evening! But then we went to... More

I went for the experience. I splurged with many appetisers. I wasn't sure about my combination but I should not have been in doubt. It was wonderful. Took our waiter's recommendation on sake and overall, a fantastic, experience.
