Family reunion supper

We met with extended HK family here. The have a boat that goes from Central pier 9 for free. It takes you to the island where the seafood is fresh, plentiful and tasty. It isn't the cheapest - but certainly one of the easiest with the boat service. It is outside and covered and they are very... read more

Nice location but overpriced for what you get. We had a simple Rainbow Seafood Rice dish and there was almost no seafood included. The vegetable seafood soup was okay but not really full of seafood either. Unless you order a full menu, you should consider another place. I am not convinced by their food but for what it's worth: a... More

Dining with colleagues for annual party there. Area is clean and tidy but mosquito was flying under table. Staffs are friendly. Took ferry from Hong Kong to Lamma around 30 minutes per trip there. Open dining area, go there in spring and autumn seasons are the best for dining there.

It seems very pricey when you see the menu, but the set menus at the back of the menu are not expensive for what you get. I think we could have eaten with four people while we only ordered the menu for two. They make sure you get some different dishes. After you had your meal, you can take their... More

Our food was forgotten and it took over an our for our steamed fish to arrive. Besides being charged for the food we were also charged (outrageously) the following: * mandatory service charge * tissues * sauces (soy, chilly) * unordered tea We came to Lamma.to see the Fisher folks traditional village but due to the food arriving so late... A favourite of ours over many years, mostly for the (free) ferry trip out to Lamma Island. The food is probably no better than many seafood restaurants, but service is good and the menu choice is very varied. We had the set menu for 2 which included some delicious prawns, a large scallop each, (in its shell) and excellent lobster.... More

There's a row of seafood restaurants along the waterfront at Sok Kwu Wan, and to be fair, they're all pretty good, but the Rainbow stands out because it offers free rides on its own ferries from Pier 9 in Central or Kowloon public pier. Just book your table and they'll offer you a ride on the most conveniently timed boat.... More

Unless you are a hord of tourist (= more money) staff will barely take care of you or ignore you. If by chance you can finaly get a table they will charge you overpriced seafood plus some unexpected hidden orders such as the tea they kindly "offered" you before you order (24 hkd per person) . Same with the sauces... More

Located in a delightful sea view setting. An extensive selection of fresh fish and seafood. The steamed fish, scallops and prawns at dinner were delicious.

Fresh, tasty plentiful. You could pick your fish live from the seawater containers. The waiter was very determinate when he recommended the different dishes. Very helpful. A bit stiff prices. A bonus was a free ride back to the city with a small (slow) ferry.
