Dont think about the kitchens....just enjoy the great fresh food.

This is a great restaurant. It looks very simple and slightly chaotic but the food is very fresh and it's a great place with a large group. Make sure you try the calamari and the garlic prawns....it is well worth a try but don't think about the kitchens...just enjoy the food, the setting and a few... read more

We had read the reviews about this restaurant and came fully expecting to pick our fish out of the many tanks for an early dinner. We made reservations upon arriving at Lamma Island and then visited the Fisherfolk Village in the harbour where my husband caught a huge (about 8 pound ) bass! We took it to Rainbow Seafood and... I dinned here last month there was a group of 8, great set menu enough to feed more than us, the lobster was amazing. The restaurant even had there own boat which took us back to the mainland.

The food is awful. No standard at all. Should be fresher as it is a restaurant on an island. But the prawns we ordered were not fresh at all. Broth of brocolli mushroom was watery and tasted poor. Yucks. Never try it again for next visit on lamma.

Visited lamma island and after reading reviews, had to try this place. We were not disappointed. We got to try different seafood that we don't normally get at home and stuff they serve you are the things you see out the front alive in tanks. Meals were delicious and as a bonus, you get a free ferry service back to... More

If you are looking for a good seafood restaurant after your hike on the Lama island Rainbow is the place for you. Don't expect luxury but simple delicious food. Nice and friendly staff too. I strongly recommend the garlic steamed scallops. They also offer free ferry service back to HK Central Pier.

You sit down and then you are taken over to the tanks to choose your seafood; order with care though as seafood is seafood and is expensive wherever you are in the world. Choose what you want, make sure you know how much it will come to and decide how you want it cooked. To keep the bill reasonable, I... More

Like a number of places there is always someone who will recommend golden fish or special seafood at some exorbitant price. We chose a more modest garoupa which was first class along with sweet and sour chicken, scallops with glass noodles and garlic, chicken crispy noodles, beef and broccoli, fried rice, gai lang all kicked off with some very fresh... We came to this restaurant with family for a seafood feast and were not disappointed. Make sure you book so you get the ferry for free - and eat in the restaurant to the left of the jetty. The food was excellent, the staff attentive and helpful and the view gorgeous. We had a wide range of dishes, from lobster... More
