Visited last May. We had seen it lit up when we were on a harbour night cruise. I had never seen a boat restaurant before. Not the normal type of place I would visit but curIosity got the better of me and we had lunch the next day. It was an experience getting there and being seated. The menu had... More

At first, the Jumbo ship impressed us when we arrived. But after a while, the impression was spoiled by poor service and ordinary food. When a waiter realized that some of our group were shocked by price, refused to order any set or ordered just soup or shrimps, she immediately tired of them and lost interest to the whole group... From first appearances, I was overwhelmed with the gaudy, in-your-face, decor of the floating edifice…like a clown who had too much make-up on, it was overwhelming as you approached it by boat. Once inside, however, the lack of decorum of the staff quickly brought about a reality check. The floor was empty other then our small tour group and yet... More

Had dinner here as part of the highly recommended Aberdeen Night Cruise. Being a Friday night was quite surprised that it was not very busy with lots of empty tables. A quick tour of the fresh seafood "aquarium" on the lower level was uninspiring. The set banquet menu offered had ample content with lots of seafood but many dishes were... More

I used to love coming to Top Deck for their champagne brunch, but Jumbo has closed! This classic venue is featured in the filmatisation of James Clavell's "Taipan" and a cheesy retro place to bring visitors. I hope it will reopen!

Our group of 12 had a terrific evening. It's expensive and the portions aren't huge, but the overall experience was a blast.

For tourists visiting Hong Kong I recommand visiting this restaurant. It is magnificent by itself as an attraction and the food, though nothing special, is not bad at all. The place is huge and the I suggest choosing the upper deck which is upscale.

Went to this "floating" restaurant 30 years ago and decided to reminisce. On arrival asked if we wanted drinks. Got warm beers first up. Sent them back and they returned with more warm beers. Head waiter in that section asked if we could wait 10 minutes. Finally they came back with a couple of cold ones. Other drink orders were... More

Touristy, but worth a visit when in HK. A local friend took us to lunch to the Jumbo Floating Restaurant .... you take a boat across from Aberdeen which is a nice way to start the visit and sets up the expectations. Food is good but what struck me was the spaciousness of the restaurant with tables far enough apart... More

We had lunch at this well-known restaurant attraction in Aberdeen Harbour Hong Kong in June 2014. The menu is quite expansive and the food was delicious. The boat ride to the restaurant was fun. The restaurant itself is well-appointed and the service was friendly.
