Average food but good service

As my Hong Kong friend loves spicy food, I decided to have dinner at Satay Inn. The carrot cake (chye tow kueh) was nice and authentic but the same can't be said for the other 4 dishes we ordered. The Hokkien popiah tasted nothing like what we have in Singapore although it was quite tasty... read more

Had good lunch. Beer is expensive, if you are in the hotel or the shopping mall it's a decent place to eat. Doesn't worth a special detour

Really excellent Singaporean Malaysian food. Great service with friendly, helpful staff. A waiter with a great sense of humour saved a bug arguement with my wife by remembering the HK Beer ale on tap which they specially fetched from the nearby hotel bar. The Buk Kut Teh is excellent as are the variety of curries and Laksa was to die... More

My husband does not want me to write this review because he doesn't want to share this hidden gem with anyone. We live 15 minutes away from TST and love to drive there for lunch on weekends. It's tucked away from the main traffic in TST and never crowded on weekends. The food is consistently wonderful. Our favorite dishes are:... More

The beef satay was tasty, but the prawn and pork soup was average. Having seen the selection of food and apparent quality in the food court at the Silvercord down the street, we would not go back to the Satay Inn.

We were persuaded to try this restaurant due to its close proximity to the hotel. The thought of eating something close to home was also a deciding factor. We would have loved to have a table inside the restaurant but as they were full, we were content with an outdoor table in the smoking section. The service staff impressed us... More

We returned to the hotel late and decided to get something nearby. Big mistake. Poor service and the food was awful we left nearly all of it. All the dishes were swimming in oil, the chicken wasn't recognisable as chicken. They tried to charge us $20 for prawn crackers we did order or eat, they just put them on the... More
