I lived around the corner for ten years and went once a week for drinks or dinner. Make sure you book. Bar is cool and busy with great balcony for the winter months. Food is upstairs and is good for business lunch. I have had my birthday there. Eating for groups is good. Suckling pig, the lamb, roast chicken or... More

We went in last night around 9.30 - basically for late evening drinks and a snack. To what is a really great old HK iconic building. What a performance - when we ask for a wine list we are told that they only sell wine by the glass. Then after a few questions, we discover that we can buy a... More

Dear BenYorkie, Thank you for your feedback. I do apologise for your experience. I'm afraid that the night you visited us (23rd July) was the last night of our service before renovating for the rest of summer. In fact that night we were holding a "send-off" party for our friends and guests in The Living Room downstairs, so I apologise... More

If you are missing a good old Sunday roast then this is your place it's heaven here, the entrance is a little stairway at the front but upstairs it's a haven away from the bustle

This restaurant was recommended by a fiend living in Hong Kong, and we can see why.. Whilst the menu is not extensive, what it lacks in breadth it makes up for in quality. We all had exactly the same dishes which were a beet root and goats cheese salad, followed by salmon wrapped in fill pastry with spinach. Both were... More

we'd been disappointed with HK's food, but were glad to experience our early meal at Pawn sat out on the 2nd floor balcony on a balmy (but not too oppressive) evening. Good quality, but don't expect great advice on your choice of wine!

35 degrees and 90% humidity - I LOVE Hong Kong! Dave and Lucy had taken me to one of those crazy high-tec supermarkets so I could buy a Kindle for the flight home. Out on Johnston Street the sidewalk was a crush of human flesh - trams cluttered by, overloaded with people, mostly engrossed in their smartphones. We found the... More

This is an historic building in downtown Wanchai. The bar is on level two. I recommend you sit outside on the large balcony where seats are comfortable. There's a fair selection of beers, wines and cocktails, but the bar snacks are very limited and they suck. Nonetheless I recommend The Pawn if you're meeting for a quick beer before heading... More

This is one of my fav places in Hong Kong for both drink and dine. Food here is always changing with a limited choice of selected, unique dishes which are british inspired. Place is over 3 floors while 1st floor is mainly for drinking only and second floor for dining. The location is an old pawn house from some 110... More

Great venue for a nice dinner with friends or a romantic date. The atmosphere is great, in an old lane house which today is placed in the middle of Wanchai area. Food is fantastic and drinks, despite their price, are also good!
