We had a lovely brunch here on the patio. The staff was impeccable! The food above average! I can't wait until I have an excuse to return!

Of all the things I would recommend for visitors to Hong Kong The Pawn would be a top 20 but not a top 5. And thats just it... It has potential but it needs to go the extra mile to really hit the top 10 list. This is no fault of the food, so far its excellent. With Tom Aiken's... More

We read about this place as a former pawn shop from the 1800s and randomly came across it. We had already eaten but had to pop in for a drink! It was quite quiet at 4pm on Sunday afternoon but we were greeted by a friendly girl who offered us a seat outside. Not the cheapest wine list but we... More

My family and I tried lunch at The Pawn on a Saturday. Putting aside whether the decor is better or worse than the old Pawn, the service and food were completely inept as if the place is being run by amateurs. Among other highlights: -- One member of our party ordered a juice and one order a coffee. The coffee... More

I miss the old place but I do appreciate the new reno, new menu. I haven't been to the lower bar yet, but dinner was still nice and dandy. I'm happy with both the old and new version of the pawn. There wasn't anything that stuck out as a great dish. We had a party of 8 people right before... More

It was the busy Christmas season, and thought The Pawn would be an ideal setting (especially with all the hype of it's recent re-opening after renovation and new Chef etc.,) for our Ladies Christmas Luncheon. So i made a reservation a month in advance as we were going to be a large group. In hindsight i have to say, was... More

The Pawn has been around for as long as I've been in Hong Kong. It's always been overpriced but was popular thanks to the cool and unique vibe where you could lie on a couch and watch sport on a weekend or sit out on the balcony and drink, chat and watch the trams rumble by. The recent makeover, opened... More

A nice outlet well located, the place is stylish and nicely renovated and the feel is good.... we had the chance to be set in a kind of VIP room The service was great and very attentive without being overwhelming the menu is very limited Food wise it was very average and didn't leave to our expectation and that gave... Food is undoubtedly nice - both appetizer and dessert, however it's quite expensive especially appetizer and main course, while drinks and desserts are at normal price. Nearly all the waiters are foreigners who seems cannot speak Cantonese, so i believe it's a high-end outlets. The Pawn has both outdoor and indoor seats which presents different style. Indoor seating is suitable... More

The Pawn has been an important watering-hole and gastro-pub in Wanchai for a long time, and we were sorry to see it close for the revamp. Far too often, these great old bars resurface as flashy shadows of their former selves, centred around some short-lived culniary theme, or some celebrity chef with more 'celebrity' than substance. The Pawn does indeed... More
