Dim sum

Had dimsum here several times never disappointed. We had a wide choice of freshly cooked food served from carts. Lots of choice and something for everyone. Would recommend . Note can be very busy at peak times.

one of my favourite restaurants in Hong Kong, always fresh and always packed. You can't go wrong with any dim sum dishes, close your eyes and pick one - next best thing to home made, and who's making home made dim sum anyway? High recommended!

We visited this restaurant a few years ago, and we lucky to have found it back - as the first time around we were brought by relatives. We luckily arrived just before noon time, as otherwise waiting lines were tremendous!! Which ofcourse has a lot to say for the quality of food here! Nice fresh and scrumptious dimsums.. your eyes... We were here for breakfast on a Saturday morning, around 8.30am, and it was not crowded. The dim sum was excellent, and particularly outstanding were those items that had shrimp in them (the "har gau" and "siew mai") as the shrimps were fresh, plump and juicy. Having also tried both Tim Ho Wan and One Dim Sum I would say... More

Having dimsum in Hong Kong is a must especially with the traditional push cart type dimsum dining, which is not as abundant as before. Additionally, Metropol still serves very good quality dimsum. My favorites are the steamed pork spare ribs, ham sui kok, shrimp cheung fun, beef balls with Worcestershire sauce, shrimp ha gao, pork siu mai and congee. No... More

The Metropol is easily accessible in Hong Kong Central and offers traditional lunch time Yum Cha fare. We visit expat family in HK regularly and seldom miss having lunch at the Metropol, which is a large restaurant with mostly local customers and traditional dishes. Key staff speak English; but, most wait staff don't, which adds to the overall experience and... More

I came here one time and decided never come back. Dim sum is not very cheap here but it's only soso quality. Won't make a trip to come if u are not leaving near by. If u never try dim sum, here is ok. Or else, there are many Chinese restaurants in hk offer nicer food

Metropol is located inside the United Centre which was a 5 min walk from the Conrad. My husband and I went on a Sunday morning and it was super crowded. We had to take a number and we waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated. The service is appalling and the staff are quite rude. No one bothered... More

Very good dim sum. Recommended by local friends. NOT guilo friendly - no English and you have to know the drill. Tasty dumplings - the har gow had the hallmark flavor of quality, and all other dishes were good as well.

I love the food station in the middle where you can pick up dim sums, congee, turnip cakes etc. They still have the trolleys coming around but you have the option at least of picking up other foods. Service is very old school and not the best and the food whilst tasty is not the best in HK but the... More
