Unique, fun, but pricey experience

Recently went on the Aqua Luna for an evening (post sunset cruise) - it was definitely enjoyable and was a bit longer than advertised (closer to 55 minutes rather than 45). The wife and I stumbled across this junk sitting against the wharf behind the space centre I went and asked about it For $120 each we got on board and had a trip around Hong Kong harbour The day was overcast and raining but you really don't get wet as they have curtains up along boat sides The wind did... The boat is well maintained and the ambiance once you are on board was superb. U can feel the premium setup on Chinese Junk if you are looking into something different. I was on board with my family (2 adults & 3 children) for evening harbour tour with a fee of 700 HKD (2A, 2C) as my other child was... More

For young lovers, its quite OK. Cheap wine and a short trip from central to TST then back to central. For tourist, it could be enjoyable. For locals, it does look stupid.

The boat is very beautiful itself, everyone start taking picture when it was getting close (including locals, tourists and me of course). the crew will help you hop on the boat (mini shirt not recommended :p) then check your voucher and take your order ( one complimentary drink - wine or beer) Hong Kong's skyline is amazing, and the weather... Lovely short trip at night on the junk. Comes with a complimentary drink also. A great way to relax at night, we did it before going out for a late dinner. Highly recommended.

This is a great way to see the Harbour and skyline. Although we had gone on both the day and night cruise, I would recommend the evening in order to get the light show. However pick you days carefully as the smog can detract from the show and view. You might need to book as the boat is very busy.

The info we received for this trip was rather confusing, saying it was a 90min trip but actually only lasted 40mins (incl a pick up at Central on the way); included drinks and refreshment but actually was only one glass of pretty average wine (or beer/juice) and was HKD275 pp for the light show sailing which is a lot more... This was a last minute decision and so glad we decided to go. We rang them around mid morning and were still able to reserve a place on the 530pm sail - perfect to watch the sunset. The boat is beautiful and one of the few 'traditional' junk boats left (although this one is quite new I think). Upstairs they... More

I boarded the Junk boat from pier 1 TST- located a few feet behind the clock tower. The staff was friendly and the music was good, however, there was not any food and you only received 1 drink. When I read the description online it read food and unlimited drinks- plural. If you must try it out, make a reservation... More
