Actually, this is a review of the Najia by the North Gate of Art 798 district. I've eaten here several times, and it's one of my "go-to" restaurants for visiting friends. The food is Imperial Cuisine and offers a good variety. My sister was in heaven when we ate here. The decor is lovely, the atmosphere quiet, and the gardens... More

They're not the usual Chinese food I had all along. So it's a breath of fresh air. A website claimed it's Manchu Imperial cuisine, not too sure how authentic it is. But it does give me a feel it's from the Manchu/Mongol side. Worth a try! Food is pretty good.

Traditional Chinese decor. The food was good but I didn't feel the need to go out of my way to go back as it was located in a business district behind a couple office towers.

Wonderful food, great variety of choices. Everything we ordered was delicious. This restaurant has a mix of old and authentic atmosphere. For us it was the best food experience in Beijing. Go early for dining as you will wait a while to be seated after 7pm.

This restaurant is highly rated, and we wanted to try something unique for one of our last special meals in Beijing. We eat a lot of Asian quinine, so the thought of having authentic Mongolian foods seemed novel. When we got there, there was was waiting list, which we expected. All of the chairs in the lobby were full, and... More

Everytime we have foreign guests with bring them to Najia Xiaoguan, either in Yong An Li or in 798 Art district where the restaurant is as good looking but much bigger so no waiting time. Try the shrimps, or the pork cubes... simply delicious and in a very nice and traditional style.

If you have not tried imperial Chinese cuisine before, you need to try this restaurant. The dishes were fantastic, prices reasonable, service was very quick.

I went there last night and I loved my experience. The place is very calming and beautiful. The service is impeccable for a Chinese restaurant, the waiters were very attentive and patient. I had the Deer with Abalone Mushrooms which was delicious, the famous home-made prawns, the mashed potatoes and the walnut shortbread ( nothing like I've tried before). Including... More

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and serves authentic Chinese quisine. We got a table outside. None of the staff speak any English but there are pictures and an English explanation in the menu making choosing pretty easy. We chose a lot of different dishes that were all decent but not great.

We stopped by to have dinner. This restaurant is really popular with the locals so be prepared to wait. The restaurant is not very friendly to foreigners if you don't speak Mandarin. It is not that anyone was rude, it is just very difficult to communicate with the servers and the staff. We had several dishes and everything was ok,... More
