This was the restaurant with the best steak and best spare rips in town. The steak is still very good, but everything else is down to just average. We would not recommend this restaurant anymore. The nice family charm of the restaurant is gone too. Now there is an ugly looking small shop integrated in the restaurant which kills any... More

This is the second time I've been to Chef Too and this visit was a delicious as the last. I had the blue cheese salad to start and my wide the special shrimp remoulade with avocado. We shared and both were fresh and delicious. For mains I had the Cajun steak with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. She had the... More

This small restaurant a few blocks away from the large Solana Mall in the Chaoyang District of Beijing is a 'throw-back' to a slice of Little Italy mixed in with the international flair of Beijing. The food is great (mix of Italian, American, and some Chinese), the ambiance is white table cloth in a simple setting, and could easily be... More

Chef Too is what I would call an "expat dive" in China. That is, it's the kind of place where lonely expats (often accompanied by their Chinese girlfriends), flock to for mediocre and unimaginative food. They're proud of the sirloin steak, but I found it tasteless and tough. There are much better steaks in Beijing at better prices. The pasta... More

Chef Too has recently reopened after a three month renovation, bringing good news and bad. The most obvious change is that the dining area on the left as one enters has been converted to a deli, leaving even fewer tables for diners. The result is a cozy, intimate atmosphere that I found more appealing. The bad news is that the... More

Heard lots about their brunch and decided to try it out .. found it ok only. Service is good but food is average. Kids eat for free, which is good for the wallet but nothing else to shout about ...

We had brunch at Chef Too on a recent weekend trip to Beijing. The food was great, they have a really good menu, friendly service, and English speaking staff. The staff were very attentive and were happy to check with the kitchen about whether some of the sides were gluten free. Everything we ordered was made well, good standard American-style... More

Child-friendly place. Egg Benedict, Beef Burger, Shrimp Bisque were all delicious. A good place to hang out with friends.

My grilfriend and I had a wonderful brunch at Chef Too. Thank good we did reserve. They were at least sending 20 people away because it was already booked out. The pancakes are of a big size and can be shared (we recommend it so) and are the best I ever had, not even in the US the pancakes were... More

Great place for American breakfasts or just any meal actually. The chef is a very nice man and I definitely recommend it.
