Excellent option for vegetarians and kosher style

This restaurant I must admit has been one of the most elegant vegetarians i have visited. The food is exquisite and finely done. The place is also beautiful. This is a must if you are vegetarian. Just note a little pricey we paid about 200 USD for 2 adults full course set meal.

This restaurant is a unique experience. Never have I seen such an extensive (exclusively) vegetarian menu that was simply delicious! Everything we tried was exceptional - in fact, there was so much to choose from, we went twice. A calm oasis that is refined, welcoming and delicious.

I was part of large celebration meal (for a symposium just completed) and was completely enchanted with King's Joy from the moment we arrived on property. Not only is the restaurant beautifully designed (architecture, interiors, lighting, etc.) but the staff--who were waiting in the courtyard to greet us was friendly, helpful, attentive and omnipresent. The the wonderful food started to... More

Located in a old mansion, with some interesting modern design touches, one of the best vegetarian meals I ever had. Well prepared and served, very professional staff and so tasty....

I decided to go to King's Joy on a whim, having read about it the night before at the hotel, on TimeOut's website. What a great decision - the experience from beginning to end was amazing, and almost peerless. I am a vegetarian and have been to some of the best vegetarian restaurants in the world, including Laperge in Paris... More

My daughter and I had a lovely dining experience. The entrance sequence is dramatic. The renovated hutong with modern detailing is very nice. The menu is vast and a bit overwhelming so we did one of the tasting selections. There were a number of courses, starting with very simple dishes that progressed in complexity and richness of taste. The staff... More

My husband and I took our 8 and 12 year old here for dinner and the food was awesome. We especially loved the seaweed rolls and the green beans. The staff was very nice and attentive. After dinner, they gave us each a dessert sample. An added bonus is the amazing and spotless futuristic bathroom. King's Joy takes vegetarian food... More

Vegetarian or not vegetarian is not a consideration for me. I do not go out seeking vegetarian food. So, when my wife and I met our friend for lunch at King's Joy we were looking for a place to eat and enjoy each other's company. The entry to this restaurant (as with some others I have been to) is entirely... More

We loved the food options, but we were served in a seeming random order, and waiters brought us dessert before the main course. We had a little trouble communicating, and while the iPad photos were lovely, ordering was a little tricky. That said, it was a great option for vegetarians.

It is quiet some time ago I wisited this place, however I keep thinking back in it as the best meal I have had on any restaurant here in China. Let me tell of when I was there, we arrived as a group of 6, just walking by searching for some food. Sudenly one of us rechogognices the name as... More
