We keep going back to this restaurant because food is really delicious and service is good. Mr Wong, the manager was always available to make good suggestions on what to select. If offers dim sum at lunch and a variety of regional Chinese food, with a focus on Cantonese food. Nice place to host a business lunch as well.

staying at the hotel we tried to eat there. According to hotel overview supposed to serve food until 22:00, but arriving 21:20 we were asked to hurry as they were about to close for the day. Food was ok, but service a little left hand as they were preparing for next day's breakfast and emptying the buffet

We went to the Summer Palace for a light dim sum lunch today at around 1.30 pm. Most of the guests had left with only a few table occupied. The receptionist at the front door ushered us to a table and quickly set the table with the proper cutely, chopsticks, plates, bowls, and napkins, etc. And then we were deserted.... More

Some of the best dim sum in Beijing, and surprisingly fairly priced. The room is very Shangri-La like in style, meaning plenty of gold, and Chinese decorative touches. Service can be a bit shaky, but given the good food this is one of the more consistently good places for dim sum in town.

The complex is huge. Massive hotel, mall, conference centre etc. Just glad to be able to have some quality food in tranquility. Surprisingly, the stand-out dish we had was the Peking Duck. In comparison with the fabulous DaDong and Duck de Chine company, this duck was cut thicker, sauce more subtle and pancakes just as thin. Great job and priced... More

The Summer Palace at the China World Hotel is a so-so average restaurant helped by its location and convenience to the guests at staying at the hotel - like me. Amongst the Chinese restaurants (Summer Palace or Shang Palace) at the Shangri-la Hotel Group in China and rest of the region that I visited, this one was probably the least... More

This was possibly the best sweet and sour pork I have ever had. All the other dishes were outstanding too. However, the service was extremely poor. It took 20 mins between them bringing my main course and my wife's even with prompting. We were continually told it would be 2 more minutes and all the dishes would be brought to... More

We went here our first night, when we were totally exhausted. Food was good, service was attentive. The overall room was just OK, felt a bit like a banquet hall. Good choice if you are tired and your language skills are limited.

I was so disappointed. The dim sum was terrible. Nothing compared to Hong Kong Shangri-la Summer Palace. The food was edible, but not great. It cost a fortunate, but the services were great.
