Description: TRB serves contemporary European cuisine and is committed to providing the highest levels of hospitality for our guests. In creating our dining space, the Australian architectural and design firm Hassell emphasized the clean, light filled and thoroughly modern lines of what was once a television factory producing the capital's first black and white TVs. The history of the TRB compound spans 600 years: it includes ancient halls of worship, factories constructed after the Communist takeover and slogans left over from the Cultural Revolution. Renovation began in 2008, focussed on preserving all the layers of history and keeping as much as possible of the original structures.

Would advise making a lot of effort to eat at Temple. Incredible restaurant set in an old temple but with a modern classy interior. Food is Michelin star quality. Had a three course meal but you get a lot of bang for your buck - amuse bouche/small dishes/palate cleansers aplenty between meals. Some interesting decanters of wine and skilful pouring... More

Driving down a dark narrow alley, being met by a gentleman who takes you the last few steps and you enter an entirely different world - the setting, decor and ambiance is just the beginning. You are gently greeted by any employee you may pass on the way to your table. The staff is very knowledgeable about the wine and... More

Will remember this for a long time. Went for brunch and had an exceptional Sunday morning. Took the menu with wine pairings and the servings were very generous. This is where foreigners should go when they come to Beijing (as a special treat!). Worth every RMB.

The TRB is located in a hutong in the northeast corner of the Forbidden City. It is easily accessible by subway either from the Dongsi Station or the Nanluoguxiang station. Both would require a short walk (3-5 mins), which is excellent to work up an appetite and to work off the wine and food after dining. If you are travelling... More

What do people look for in a restaurant? Good food, service, atmosphere, quirks/uniqueness, etc. The food was amazing. The service was the best I have probably ever had. And the restaurant is built into an old temple in the middle of a Hutong, so needless to say the atmosphere and uniqueness are about as far up the scale as you... More

This restaurant is the best bet in beijing. They serve you welcome Champagne and a variety of snacks before the food comes. I have never even come closer to such service in my life. The food is fantastic and each and every staff whether owner manager or waiter takes special interest in your meal. The kind of snacks they served... More

The TRB is nicely hidden in the amazing Temple Hotel in Beijing. From the very beginning, when the staff welcomes you and offers you a flute of Champagne while dressinh your table, you can feel that you will experience something special. While drinking your champagne, you can enjoy the stunning view on the Temple through the window behind the bar.... More

Set in a historical temple, tucked away in a small alley, TRB is simply the best. The dinning areas are spacious and beautifully decorated with modern arts. Food is delicious. We were offered a few small bites to tease our pallets and explore the culinary creation from the chefs. So much fun! Did I mention the service yet? I have... More
