TRB serves contemporary European cuisine and is committed to providing the highest levels of hospitality for our guests. In creating our dining space, the Australian architectural and design firm Hassell emphasized the clean, light filled and thoroughly modern lines of what was once a television factory producing the capital's first black and white TVs. The history of the TRB compound spans 600 years: it includes ancient halls of worship, factories constructed after the Communist takeover and slogans left over from the Cultural Revolution. Renovation began in 2008, focussed on preserving all the layers of history and keeping as much as possible of the original structures.

Fantastic service, fancy

Very impressed with the service. Food is also excellent but expected with the price tag. The service really blown me away. The place is really difficult to find though.. The driver must call the restaurant three times until we found the place.

Spent a birthday lunch here, at the end of May. Located in a restored temple at the end of a hutong (alley) near the back exit of the Forbidden City, this restaurant is every bit the gem others have claimed it to be. It's not just a location for a meal, but a site for an experience. Granted, I visited... More

This restaurant is located in an old temple, but the interior decoration is contemporary. Service is excellent, even compared with other first class restaurants in Beijing. The food is fairly good, but it is probably the best in Beijing. And the wine list offer a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both... More

Great lunch with the family, good food food great service and a magical place down a backline in the Hutongs. Had a party there before TRB in 2009 when it was an Art(sy) space and only a tiny bit was restored. We had the degustation menu and the kids just ordered 3 dishes and we had 5. Worked out perfectly.... More

This restaurant has a unique location in an old hutong temple. There is also an exhibition hall in the courtyard. The restaurant itself has a good atmosphere. The staff is very kind and service oriented. I think I have never seen so many waiters at a restaurant. The food was all right but not very special. In Europe you can... More

We had heard lots of great reviews of TRB and were not disappointed. The setting is wonderful and the food is first class. We were a party of 16 and had a private room, the service was very good and the food was excellent. The three course dinner and a few extra 'nibbles' with ample wine cost 800 RMB per... More

Visited here for lunch and prices were very reasonable. Service was amazing and we were given so many extras. A really good restaurant to entertain guests.

We were at this restaurant for brunch, 11:00 until 2:00. Firstly - book! TRB is busy, without a booking you're not likely to get in. TRB is special ... eating out in Beijing tends to be cheap and cheerful, great flavours yes, great presentation and service no. TRB sets out to pass on the best in nouvelle cuisine paired with... We booked based on the reviews that we had read here on Tripadvisorand a recent write-up in a top cooking magazine. While my husband and I are not die-hard foodies, we do seek out top notch food experiences when we can. First, give yourself exta time to get there as two taxis said they did not know where the restaurant... More

TRB is one of the best restaurants we've visited around the world. "Everything" was top quality: staff, food quality, atmosphere. And we were treated like royalty there. Food price was very reasonable as we were there at lunch time. We were extremely impressed and if we're to go back to Beijing it will be because of this restaurant.
