Best dumplings in china

These were the best dumplings I had while visiting China and went there multiple times in a week. The staff don't speak English but they're lovely and try their best to keep you happy. The coconut tea was an unusual feature on the menu that I tried and loved it. I need more mr Shi in my life and... read more

Small but nice little place deep down a little hutong. Been there twice, very friendly people and good, solid homemade food. Would recommend!

Recommended to us by our travel agency and not frequented by locals according to our guide during a food tour we took a few days later…. However we really liked the place that is hidden in one of the hutongs, tiny restaurant where they are preparing the dumplings fresh in the tiny kitchen. They are behind a glass window where... If you like to try a bunch of different dumplings this is a great place! I have gone several times to all of the locations and tried tons of different dumplings. I'm a vegetarian and the options are great!

I was recommended this place by more than one person who had previously visited Beijing, it seems to be very popular with tourists and expats. The dumplings are great, traditionally steamed or fried to a golden crisp. A little on the expensive side for Beijing, but definitely worth a visit.

Excellent dumplings, wood fern noodles and get the Green Beans for sure! It is definitely an ex-pat place so if you need authentic stuff this will bother you, but we loved it! international, nice patrons and delicious food. had a great elderflower beer, many international beer options. food is excellent. highly recommend.

Mr. Shi's dumplings are absolutely delicious. The prices are reasonable, and they have a good selection of beers (if that's what you want). The staff are friendly and helpful, and the small restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The fried pork and coriander dumplings are highly recommended!

The walls are covered with previous international guests' messages, flags etc. Which goes to show the variety of people that come through the restaurant and therefore the power of Trip Advisor! The variety of dumplings was more than I have previously seen at any other place! So if you are fussy there is bound to be something you will like!... More

This is a small restaurant in a side street of San Li Tun. They have five tabbles tops. But the dumplings are awesome. They are freshly made and really tasty. They have all sorts of beers from abroad. I had a Duvel from Belgium. Their English is good. The audience is a mixture of Western and local people.
