We had a party of 10, and so our hotel recommended this place. It was a very high end restaurant with wonderful atmosphere and good service. We ordered the duck and also a set menu for 4 plus 4 bowls of noodles with beef brisket for the children. Despite trying to be careful about the amount/cost that we ordered, it... More

Beautiful place, good atmospere, good service but disappointing duck. The roast duck, though steaming hot, is fatty and not crispy. I was so disappointed after hearing its name for so long and trying it for the first time. Da Dong's is definitely better (having tried it twice). One minor issue: there are 2 bulky menus with beautiful pictures of the... More

Very expensive offering average food at best in a pleasant atmosphere with little experienced staff who do not speak English very well. The Peking duck was ordinary and they also charged separately for the Hoisin sauce not helping to prepare the pancake in which it is usually eaten. Hardly worth the expense!

Received several recommendations from Chinese friends about that restaurant and we were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, excellent Peking duck and good service.

Very hip and modern restaurant with amazing atmosphere. Its next to the Sanlitun shopping area and partydistrict. Very modern place. Good wine and the best Peking Duck I have ever tasted! We also learned about the different food on the menu from the chef. Good service and even better food!

Recommended by our hotel ( regents) - this was the best duck I have ever tasted. Portions are good size, prices good for the restaurant type and services is impressive. We also had dumplings, deep fried prawns, and a whole duck with pancakes. Would love to go again - amazing decor little bit too dark though had to ask to... More

One of the best meals I have had in china, the duck was perfect, so was the sauce and the dressings. We had also ordered tofu balls and they are the best I have ever had. Loved the different ways to eat the duck that we came to experience. The ambience is great and so is the service. If unlike... More

I have lunch over there a couple of days ago, ordered the duck, prawm dumplings, shanghaiese dumplings, seasame balls and a deep fried abalone mushroom. The duck is good in general, but when the chef slicing the duck in front of me, all the oil and juice has splashed onto my jacket. I must say the duck and the sauce... More

The Hidden City is one of my fav go-tos...with visitors as well as on our own on a weekend or for a treat. It had an art gallery (not huge but quite interesting quirky collection)- sculpture dot the surrounding area. But mainly for me its nice because its like a courtyard of restaurants. So far we like Duck de Chine... More
