Description: Sureño is the Mediterranean restaurant located on the lower ground level of The Opposite House—an intriguing urban hotel in the cosmopolitan district of Sanlitun. The warm interiors boast an open kitchen and a wood fired oven that evoke the casual style of the Mediterranean, where guests can also watch the live action while they dine. The menus draw on the freshest ingredients of Southern Europe and are updated quarterly at the turn of seasons.Through the à la carte and tasting menus, the restaurant focuses on seafood, hand made pastas, salads, and tapas, as well as choice cuts of imported meat prepared in the wood fired oven. The style is rustic and typical of the dishes one would expect in Spain, Greece, Southern France and Italy, with an inspiring wine selection for wine pairings.

A trendy spot, very popular w the Beijing "young and beautiful" crowd. The only reason I didn't rate it excellent is due to my arrogant North American bias that makes me expect English proficiency among all the customer facing staff if I'm going to pay top dollars

Loved the food here, authentic Antipasta plate with delicious cold cuts and cheese. Pizza as thin and delicious as you would get in Napoli. Extensive wine list, gorgeous bread and oils. I could go on but you should really try it for yourself

Opposite House Beijing - Sanlitun district of Beijing, China. What’s in a name? Think of something, like say an international five star hotel, and then your mind may well conjure up images of formal lobby’s, brocade curtains perhaps even, heaven forbid, guilt ormolu. Along with stuffy service staff with starched uniforms….now stick with that thought and then consider the complete... More

On any trip of ours to beijing Sureno is a must visit and this time was no exception. We went for lunch on the 27th, were seated at a window table and enjoyed every second. The food was fantastic. The mains, Tuna and Ravioli respectively were super, but on this occasion were outshone by the desserts. I had the White... More

If you want a break with Chinese food just go there, atmosphere is great, staff is really really nice and all of them speak english. The food was also really good! Situated downstairs the Opposite House boutique hotel, it also has a nice lounge area where you can enjoy cocktails and drinks.

It is such a retreat to join the restaurant direct from the hotel as guest.the direct access from the elegant mall is too easy to find. Food is fresh and good. The chief has the international food combined with the local fresh food. Seats are elegant and good.the service is ok, , the business lunch menu is a good value... More

We visited Sureno within a few days of arriving at our new home in Beijing. After experiencing a few local Chinese restaurants, we took a friend's recommendation and visited Sureno. In short, this restaurant felt like sitting in one of San Francisco's better eating establishments. The atmosphere is tranquil, the service is fantastic, the food is delicious. We highly recommend... It was the day I arrived in Beijing and being dinner time, and tired from the overseas journey, I thought I would just eat in the hotel. Sureno seemed like a good choice. I ordered roast chicken, a benign option after a long trip. What arrived was four chicken wings, not what I expected. I thought there would be at... More
