Afternoon tea

Great location not far from Forbidden City. Gorgeous decor and cups and saucers covetable. Warmly welcomed by staff. Afternoon tea was lovely. Scones well baked but we're served cold and sadly cream was from a spray can I think instead of clotted. This may be hard to find in Bj. Sandwiches and... read more

A great experience for a romantic meal at Capital M. The staff were gracious and helpful, and the view of the South Gate was beautiful. The food was delicious!! I highly recommend this restaurant if you'd like a nice night out.

The location is not one I am very familiar with but it's great. Not breathtaking like its sister restaurant in Shanghai but arrive early and take a walk around. Service is excellent with a warm welcome on arrival. Sit outside on the terrace for a while if weather permits. Food choices are somewhat limited or perhaps too similar if you... More

We were recommended this restaurant by (Western) locals. It was lovely. An oasis of calm in the City. Great location with a lovely rooftop seating area almost looking over Tianamen Sqaure (although not quite). Would def recommend.

I visited Capital M with my parents and my partner recently and was really impressed by the great service, beautiful décor & view, and good food. We were greeted by the maître d who was so friendly and personable. He suggested we sit in the lounge or deck and have a drink before moving to our table. The setting is... More

On a previous trip to China we visited M on the Bund,so we decided to try the "sister" restaurant in a recent visit to Beijing. We were not disappointed. We had a dinner booking for 4 at 730pm. We arrived by taxi from our hotel, about 20 minutes away, not far in busy Beijing. The restaurant is not easy to find... More

We enjoyed a pleasant evening at Capital M on Easter Sunday. The view is really lovely, and the food enjoyable without being incredible.

It's with great disappointment that when you travel, you're notgetting anything better than at home, but paying more. The restaurant and bar area are lovely, well designed, nice view. Staff seem rushed, not knowing which guest ordered which main, is not acceptable in this kind of place. Two mains, two gl wine, water, $200. Food nothing special nor specific for... More

Great views, when the air is clear. We sat inside, bad air day but could still look out onto a million yuan view. Cocktails were weak, but they kindly beefed them up when we pointed this out. They are clearly used to large groups of Westerners, and people ordering bits and bobs and sharing. Their suckling pig was indeed something... More

Location is top, hard to find something better in Beijing but then overpriced for all the other aspects of the restaurant. Service, not what I could expect for this kind of restaurant, ie we ordered a cocktail for the aperitif we didn't have time to finish it that the entree was there. All plate are really expensive and they don't... More
