Excellent food and excellent service. We we went for lunch. We had a duck between us, 2 glasses of wine and a beer $90 Aus. What value! If people think that expensive they haven't eaten in Perth, Australia. (Where you can expect Mediocre food and service). The decore is sophisticated and tasteful. I can see why they have won so... The Best Peking Duck that I've ever had! Full of taste and so crispy! Don't think about the calories, just eat it and I'm sure that you will think that it totally worths it!

We recently spent 4 days in Beijing, and on a number of recommendations, visited Dadong Roast Duck Restaurant at Jinbao Place (there are a few Dadong restaurants in Beijing - this one was right across the road from the Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing Hotel, where we stayed). The middle of the restaurant is where all of the ducks are cooked,... More

Duck was fantastic, restaurant decor beautiful, staff pushy and rude. They gave us a huge menu to look at but no time to sit and look through it!!!! They threw a ready made menu at us and said as we couldn't decide we should have what they recommend. We declined and ordered what we wanted to. They did help us... More

When entering Dadong, I was amazed by the sophistication of the place. Very nice and modern interior. A lot of white, but still warm and inviting. Huge bilingual menu (also in size and weight) with a lot of interesting dishes. Would have liked to go to the place with a group, so that we could have shared more dishes. Being... More

While in Beijing my one MUST (i suppise could-should be everyones':) was to eat their signature dish -duck - in some restaurant. Got a reccomendation from a local from the hotel i stayed. The restaurant is located in the mall which put me off little bit before hand. What I have learned after 2 weeks in China now that lots... More

Frankly, there is no big difference from duck to duck. I must have had 100 Peking ducks, in various restaurants, from the super expensive types like Da Dong, to the very popular chains, to the local duck restaurants; the price difference the rent, the fixtures, the show oven, and the hype. Their duck is fine, but everything else sucks. They... More

The food (duck...) is great! Tasty and no greasy. Plus they don't over charge the sides, the duck is cheap like 75 usd per duck and the sides are ridiculous cheap like 80cents per side. Then they offer desert, those china chestnuts...the environment is noisy and at arrive if you didnt book they give you a ticket with a Chinese... More

Walked through a quiet sleepy mall at 8pm on a Sunday evening to the top floor and into this surprisingly buzzing restaurant. Had to wait roughly half an hour for a table as had not reserved but we didn't mind as it was great to get a drink and sit in the waiting area which overlooks the duck cooking station.... More

The restaurant is next to Wangfujing street and is decorated in an elegant modern style. We had the roast duck which was very nicely served by a cook who cut the duck at the table. The duck came with all the ingredients (pancakes, etc.) as well as a free dessert (strawberries). All in all an excellent experience for a very... More
