The Modern Side Of Peking Duck

This is an amazing restaurant from a design standpoint. It's absolutely beautiful inside and the decor is hip and modern. This is the second time in DaDong last time also in Beijing but the Dongcheng location which was recommended by a Chinese friend, now I know why. As usual the food is great but for the price I expect the food to be good. The service though was terrible and thank good I decided to invite with us our guide... More

Great food with great service. We tried many different dishes and everything was simply tasteful and done well. The ceremony around the duck was a real treat. They bring it over to the table, slice it for you, show you the 3 ways to eat it (hint: (1) with sugar - OK. (2) in a wrap - excellent, (3) in... More

I've visited it with my chinese friend on her recommondation. And it was perfect! Menu is huge, but we took several side dishes and of course - duck! Service was great, decoration of whole place was nice and main thing - food was very delicious. Prices are higher, but still affordable. For 4 people we paid around 200€ (dishes +drinks).But... Our tour guide recommended this restaurant. The menu had to be over 200 pages long and included a five page table of contents. The whole experience was very enjoyable and the food was delicious.

Great Peking duck. Higher prices than most. Friendly staff but most do not speak English. They do have a few people that will help you that speak good English but they are too busy and don't stay in the area, so if you need anything else during your meal it may be difficult.

No need to waste your time waiting just to have a table , I waited about 2 hrs and another for the food to be served. Pricey cos it is more geared towards fine dining. Hence for budget travelers and not be able to splurge, kindly dismiss this outlet even if you are food buff. There are other plenty of... More

Best Peking duck I've had to date. So crisp and melts in your mouth. The other "fusion" dishes are good, but would stick to the duck, which is what they're known for. May require a reservation--you can reserve a room for your party if planned well enough in advance.

Best roast duck I've ever had here as well as an awesome oxtail soup. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Beijing! The taste here matches its reputation.

Not just the duck, but all the dishes we had here were great. Setting was modern, very busy, short wait but well worth it. Be aware that there's multiple Dadong Duck restaurants - from the advice we received, this is one of (if not the) best.
