We found the next day that the Peking Duck here was bested by the one at Jing Yaa Tang, the restaurant in the Opposite House hotel in SanLiTun. I have used Duck de Chine for my trip to Beijing many times. This time I had invited 9 friends with me and told them that they would taste the best Peking Duck in the town. I was wrong, it was so bad.... the Duck was hardly warm, the skin was soft....... We had to walk around trying to find... More

Great place to experience good Peking duck in a unique setting. We tried (eventually with success) to have a drink prior to being seated, but it seemed like an alien concept to them, with no one behind the bar or interested in waiting on us. The decor is great and the food very good, although the service could not have... More

There's no doubt that Duck de Chine adds a touch of class that puts itself at the apex of duck fine dining in the capital city. However, as great as the duck and service is, the value here is a bit stayed. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant for me only. Places like Dadong are a better value and... More

I had a business dinner over here. Realy good food and perfect service. The only thing is that it's difficult to find. The cab driver could not find the entrance either. At the end I entered via an art gallery. Then you see a lovely court yard with more restaurants and a microbrewery (also nice to visit).

I didn't have any expectation of this place because high-ended sophisticated Pekin duck places were always let-downs. Surprisingly, though, this place was a pleasant experience. First, the price is pretty reasonable. Second, staff are relatively well trained for service. Third, the price of wine is very reasonable in Beijing where it largely tops the whole bill of food. When we... More

if you want to have a romantic duck dinner with a sparkle, then duck de chine is where you want to be. make sure you book the correct restaurant as there are 2 in Beijing, but both are great. try to have an aperitif at the bar before your dinner and if you have your birthday ask for a sparkling... The crispy duck is absolutely delicious, the skin a combination of juicy (sort of gelatinous texture) and crispy. The other dishes ordered were similar good. However, at about RMB460/person for a meal of 4, including a bottle of Riesling, it is not cheap. Worth a try...

We had a lovely dinner at this amazing restaurant. The ambience and the service is great and the food is even better! You don't want to miss the crispy duck of course, but also everything we ordered was well prepared. You can choose among their selection of teas, or enjoy a good red wine.
