Excellent food but more expensive than expected. Service and ambiance formal but friendly. Had many other meals in Beijing for 1/5 the price that were just as tasty and more interesting.

When in Beijing we wanted to experience Peking duck. We certainly were able to do it at Duck de Chine. Very classy place that is pretty Western friendly. Very nice, modern but still Chinese setting and great duck with a great presentation. Would strongly recommend it.

The duck experience is what people come for, but the other dishes are delicious too! And the 1949 courtyard is lovely.

This is a great alternative to the huge duck houses (Quanjude, etc) and is actually a fusion of French cuisine and Peking/Beijing Duck. In a converted warehouse/factory in a cool, upscale part of Beijing (full of restaurants, bars and art galleries) not far from San Li Tun The Village, this restaurant has a relaxed and refined atmosphere. The duck is... More

This restaurant is trendy, conveniently located, and most of all, it has GREAT food and service! I will surely return for the duck, and for many other dishes we tried at Duck de Chine. One of the best roast duck meals I have ever had! And the menu selection is diverse for all tastes!

Having arrived after a long flight, we were tired but hungry. Our friend had made reservations here, as it was near our hotel and would be quiet enough to have a conversation. We were blown away by the duck! It was delicious, as were the dishes of green beans and eggplant that we also ordered. Service was outstanding, individually mixed... More

Great decor, food and service! The Peking duck was one of the best we ever had. This was recommended by our Peninsula hotel staff, made the reservation and ordered the duck in advance. It is a beautiful restaurant with great ambience. The service was excellent as our waiter was very attentive.

Here's our take on Duck de Chine - having eaten here at different branches on numerous occasions, we can resolutely say that it's good for Peking duck at a East/West fusion restaurant (if you're into that kind of Peking duck experience) and in a tranquil modern Chinese chic setting, but it's not really anything outstanding for the money. Very limited... More

We are very luck to have gotten to eat at Duck de Chine on Valentine's Day at the suggestions of our hotel who made us the reservations. After a long flight and drive to the hotel, we were able to walk from the Conrad into a beautiful oasis (even in winter). From the time you enter the gate with the... More

first we were amazed by the building architecture.. maybe it was some rich governor's house transformed into this beautiful restaurant.. we ordered 2 pecking ducks, some beef ribs, 3 kinds of noodles, and Pu-Er tea.. the pecking duck was delicious (the sauce was top of the top), but the beef ribs was the star of our lunch.. tasted so good!...
