Though the Peking Duck is flawless in taste, texture and presentation, it is the ambience of the entry court and general seating dining halls that is unique. 16 of us crammed into a small private room was cozy but not comfortable for guests nor servers. Nice atmosphere for this restaurant located in a courtyard. To reach the restaurant you go through an art gallery. The ambiance quite trendy with a mix of Chinese and foreigners. Then come THE duck announced a gong. The chief slice the beast in front of you with an astonishing precision and speed. Meat is delicious, the bill little bit less...... More

Very nice (hidden) place with good vibes( I guess in summer is much nicer). The duck is a must for a first time visit but they offer other good dishes as well.... The menu is filled with pictures which could be helpful considering waiters English level but it is not exactly what you would expect from (what is considered as)... More

Just enjoyed a truly lovely dinner at Duck de Chine. Food and service were all outstanding. Although not inexpensive we thought our dinner was a good value - well prepared with high quality ingredients. Duck was great as were all the other dishes ordered. The lamb was especially tasty as were the two vegetable dishes. Would definitely return.

The duck is delicious, with great presentation as chef comes to your table to make 129 slices before serving. Good thing our guide at with us as we navigated the paper thin pancakes and condiments to make the most of our meal. Great food, service and presentation.

On short notice I decided to try Duck de Chine in the 1949 complex in jinbao jie, having been there on work functions many time I was keen to see what a couple experience was like. If you want to experience a little extravagance then this is definitely one place to try. The building is classy and has an allure... More

This restaurant was voted to be the second best in Asian after the Din Tai Fung. I love the BJ duck here especially the sauce. The price is not too expensive and you do not have to pay extra condiment price for each person. The Chinese cabbage dish with mushroom is also great. The atmosphere is great. I have recommended... First off the restaurants who do duck really well and have such a fantastic ambience would only be Duck de Chine, in particular the one at Jinbao Street. You feel like you're in an exclusive enclave of old and the fact that they offer Chilean red wine means they know the good stuff. The service is also excellent - big... More

Arrived at this charming restaurant which came highly recommended by various friends and it surpassed my expectations! Cosy atmosphere where truly the food did all the talking. The deep fried shredded abalone mushroom deserves a Michelin star by itself. Just heavenly! I dream about it! The Peking duck.... Wow!!! What makes it so amazing is also the hoisin sauce. They... We had a work dinner here and it was fantastic. Try the fried tofu and the shredded fried mushrooms, and of course, the Peking duck! Wines and desserts were also top notch. All in all, it was a lovely dinner and I'll go back.
