Third visit in 3 months, was made to wait for about 15 minutes at the bar despite advance booking at 7pm. The duck was delicious and very satisfying. Duck was cheap when compare with the RMB20+ each skewers. Not sure why the waiters keep attempting to take the half finished dishes away though.

Went there based on recommendations. As we were there early it is very quiet but the tables are filled up shortly after. Good duck and good food. Tried the cold dishes too. Very delicious. Worth the visit and moreover it is near wangfujing. Go for a slow walk after a sumptuous meal.

This is in a delightful setting in fairly central Beijing. Modern Cantonese and BJ food, especially the BJ Duck. We went for lunch, the food was great, very fresh and beautiful presentation with superb service. Old wooden type floors give that old feeling, with good lighting and windows out onto the Courtyard. Very nice venue, perfect for visitors.

Recommended by our Orchid Hotel staff, we enjoyed everything about this somewhat pricey restaurant. The setting was lovely, the staff attentive, and every dish we ordered, duck to the sides, was wonderful. Glad we went.

i've dined at duck de chine multiple times and at multiple locations in beijing (with each location feeling 'secretive' upon entering). i only come here to have the peking duck, be it one between two people or at least two amongst friends. the ducks taste delicious and the presentation is very pleasing. the atmosphere is fantastic, beautifully designed in oriental... This restaurant is very famous among Beijing's expatriates and it claims to serve one of the best Beijing Duck dishes in the capital. Hiding in a somewhat obscured but large courtyard, this is a large periodic housed food complexes serving not only Beijing Duck but also other eateries including Japanese and Italian, under management of the famous Hong Kong group... Had lunch here this week and the Dim Sum was just okay. My Chinese friends told me that it's hit or miss with this place. Also, the atmosphere wasn't as nice as their other location in Sanlitun. The service was not friendly…actually, rather rude. But perhaps it was because I spoke no Chinese. The only nice thing about my lunch... More

Wonderful food, served in a quiet private room (the small public room seemed quiet too). I did not see the bill, but imagine from the ambience, service, and food quality that it was quite expensive.

I'd call this the 45 minute 'grand' dinner. We are from Melbourne, Australia, where The Flower Drum Restaurant is renowned for sensational Peking Duck so we were excited to try a duck restaurant in Peking (Beijing) - and, while the duck was good everything else was dreadful !!! We arrived on time at 8.00pm and were seated in a very... More
