The crispy duck is absolutely delicious, the skin a combination of juicy (sort of gelatinous texture) and crispy. The other dishes ordered were similar good. However, at about RMB460/person for a meal of 4, including a bottle of Riesling, it is not cheap. Worth a try...

We had a lovely dinner at this amazing restaurant. The ambience and the service is great and the food is even better! You don't want to miss the crispy duck of course, but also everything we ordered was well prepared. You can choose among their selection of teas, or enjoy a good red wine.

Jet-lagged and hungry, we would have been happy with anything, but the food at Duck de Chine was absolutely fantastic. We had no problems with the service, the food was served relatively quick, and most importantly, it was delicious. I'd recommend the place to anyone visiting Beijing, no matter for how long!

The Peking Duck in Duck de Chine was great, one of the best in Beijing. The other food was satisfactory but the price was on the high side, on beijing standard. The service was sleek in general but there was no personal touch... No smile....

There are many restaurants to eat Peking Duck in Beijing. Duck de Chine has several outlets and if you find yourself in the Embassy district of Beijing this is worth the visit. Entry in gained via an art gallery and as you walk into the courtyard you will see a number of places to dine. It is essential to pre... More

I thought its only a restaurant to cheat foreigners. But it's absolutely not! Duck is very good. The other dishes are very very good! Gongbao mushroom is a must try. I will definitely come back!

The presentation of the Duck was awesome. They ring a gong and then the highly skilled chef carves the duck table side with a mega impressive knife. Go and eat here. It's super yummy.

The duck was so good, and the presentation was lovely. I liked the duck here more than at DaDong. The other non-duck dishes were also really delicious! I loved the setting, but it was a little hard to find.

I am in Beijing on a tour with a group. I ate at Da Dong twice and ordered half a Peking duck (VIP selection). The duck was excellent, though the service was lukewarm. Tonight I ate at Duck Le Chine. They do not serve half ducks and required I ordered the whole duck. The duck was cold and I was... More

Typically I cringe when I'm invited to a Beijing duck dinner. They are usually crowded and loud and lacking any sort of ambience. Duck de Chine, also known as "1949" (this is the branch off Tuan Jie Hu subway station in San Li Tun - not the address listed above) was a great treat! Although a little difficult to find,... More
