A nice part of town, hard to find for these taxi drivers. The restaurant is well laid out in a courtyard and was unfortunetly a bit cold. Staff have little time to talk or explain anything, wines were not pushed... Duck was good, little amounts of accompaniments and pancakes could be kept warmer.

It was the most delicate duck I've ever had. We had a reservation and had to wait a little after our reservation time, but not long. The presentation was beautiful, the wine menu was pretty good and we were able to get a couple good bottles at a decent price. The service was great, we were never left to want... More

Although our Driver had some trouble finding the restaurant, it's definitely worth the trouble getting there. We had to beat the Friday early evening traffic to get there but when we did, we all knew it was worth it. The Peking Duck - the main attraction here - was delicious. Not fatty, nice and crispy, served with perfect condiments and... More

Excellent food and service! The duck is slow roasted with fruit wood that adds a touch to the excellent flavor and tender and moist texture. All the apertisers we ordered were excellent. A must visit in Beijing. Service staff was very attentive and service was excellent. Overall, an excellent dining experience.

Duck de Chine is in a very nice compound - great atmosphere. We found the next day that the Peking Duck here was bested by the one at Jing Yaa Tang, the restaurant in the Opposite House hotel in SanLiTun. Service (at least for foreigners) was terrible - from nearly rude (bartender) to non-understanding and near-incompetent. For a place that... More

I have used Duck de Chine for my trip to Beijing many times. This time I had invited 9 friends with me and told them that they would taste the best Peking Duck in the town. I was wrong, it was so bad.... the Duck was hardly warm, the skin was soft....... We had to walk around trying to find... More

Great place to experience good Peking duck in a unique setting. We tried (eventually with success) to have a drink prior to being seated, but it seemed like an alien concept to them, with no one behind the bar or interested in waiting on us. The decor is great and the food very good, although the service could not have... More

There's no doubt that Duck de Chine adds a touch of class that puts itself at the apex of duck fine dining in the capital city. However, as great as the duck and service is, the value here is a bit stayed. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant for me only. Places like Dadong are a better value and... More
