I speak/read/write Chinese. A hectic walk from the subway to the restaurant. After dark, it's obviously a "red light" district. After dinner, the street was full of leftover from various restaurants spill all over. Looked and smelled bad. The restaurant was crowded. Many famous people's photo were nailed on the wall of entrance. The waiting team was less than joyful... More

We had been to this branch before, nice decoration and show. Good for tourist. Food was average. Yesterday, hotel concierge recommended again and we thought of giving it another chance. Concierge said no booking accepted after 6:00pm so we had a booking for 6:00pm. When we arrived, we were shown to our table promptly. People on the 2 tables next... More

We were taken here by a friend of ours in Beijing. He said many westerners visited this restaurant. (And with good reason.) The roasted duck (Peking Duck) was delicious! Crispy not greasy just wonderful. They then made us a duck soup out of it. We had fish and noodles, pomegranate juice. Everything was just great. We also saw the chefs... More

Great tasting Chinese food, on the weekends they have performances. Very good atmosphere, service, food. The restaurant is in a traditional building and you dine in a lovely courtyard with a great setting. Highly recommended

We came here through Frommer's book recommendation and spent 15 minutes looking through the overpriced and unappealing menu before heading out and going back to our favorite unassuming dumpling restaurant, Bao Yuan (a 22 RNB taxi away on Maizidian Jie in the Chaoyang District, but very worth it). At Hua's the entertaining show was going on, and that was the... More

There's a show inside there starting at 815pm and it's nice. We had our dinner there and you can try the spicy small lobsters and peiking duck. Many other nice food. Comparing to quanjude duck, here is much more reasonable.

I cannot claim to be an authority on Beijing dining since I only visited the city for 2.5 days on business and had little opportunity to explore. However, I was very glad that I had one business meal at Hua’s. The food was very good, but I do not think I would consider it exceptional. What I did like a... More

As funny as it may be to say, Hua's was one of my favorite things about Beijing. I loved the hutongs and Great Wall, but was somewhat disappointed we picked a foggy day to go the wall. The Forbidden City and Tienanmen Square were overrun by hordes. But finding Hua's was the best! Everyone was very friendly, price was great,... More

I like their peking Duck and spicy crawfish. They offered the spicy crawrish peel off the skin. which is excellent. They have so many locations. easily find one near you and meet your needs. we went their as our alumni event. they have a table that can sit 20 peoples. great service and fair price.

If you are looking for simply fabulous Peking Duck, this is your restaurant! I have been to the Dongzhimen location multiple times and, if given a choice, I will not go anywhere else for duck. Making a reservation is definitely recommended, although tables can be obtained if you go at an early hour. The restaurant is gorgeous with an open... More
