Amazing Duck

Went there with a group of adults and kids, was served quickly! Duck was the best. Lovely surroundings, must see if in Beijing!

Took ages for food to be served in an almost empty restaurant, despite the fact that my son spoke some Chinese we were fobbed off.food was very tasty, pity the rice only arrived after two reminders and we had finished eating everything else. Only one of the dishes came out nice and hot and they were meant to be hot.... More

Every minute spent at this place was good. We got a table upstairs first and no-english speaking waitress and about 10 minutes later a waiter who called himself James Bond (he said he learned the language from watich 007 movies) offered us a table downstairs just before the acrobatics and mask show started at 8pm. We got some fancy packed... More

This restaurant has got it all — location, architecture, character, great food, good service. The complex of small courtyards and private dining rooms really adds to the atmosphere of this excellent restaurant and it has personality in spades. It is located on an extremely busy, full-of-life low-rise street in Beijing which is in striking contrast to much of the city... More

We ate here in early November 2013. We were on a special package with a private English-speaking guide and driver and had been to the Great Wall. Although a lunch was included, our guide asked us if we wanted to try Peking Duck. My partner and I had already talked about wanting to try this so when we told him... More

We visited this place after an Opera. So, late dining choices were very limited. Ghost Street was a natural choice. This restaurant offers so-called Beijing style cuisine and is quite refined compared to a couple of restaurants of a similar kind we tried. The wine list is also the biggest of the others and varies from some 250 to over... More

Firstly, I just want to congratulate this place for acknowledging the fact that some of their customers can't read chinese menus/have small children or need dish recommendations. Beautiful setting with attentive staff and prompt service. We needed two high-chairs and they arrived instantly-clean and safe. Big and clear photo-menus with plenty of options for fussy kids and wary parents. English... More

We had an amazing dinner here with wonderful Peking duck and pork spare ribs. The ambience is like being in a hutong alley fused with a restaurant. Quite nice. And our server James Bond (had a card to prove is his name!) Made the experience even more enjoyable. Add in some table side performances and it's a great pick for... More

We were a little disappointed with the Peking duck because it came cold, but otherwise the food was good and reasonably priced. We paid the equivalent if £30 for dinner for two. Bear in mind that Peking duck is rather more expensive than most dishes and we had alcohol. Entertainment starts at 8pm each night in the courtyard and is... More
