This is the 2nd time I have eaten here. If you want a front seat to the 8pm performance, try to make a reservation. If not, other part of the restaurant (it is actually in a Chinese court yard house) is equally good. As usual, service here is good and atmosphere is wonderful. The food choices are typical Beijing and... More

This was our first experience at an authentic Peking Duck dinner and it was fabulous. They bring your table various courses of Manderin Fish, Shrimp, Pork meatballs, and Peking Duck, along with appetizers, fruit plates, and soup . Our tour guide had a great laugh and took a picture of the Manderin fish as I had to put a napkin... More

Hua's is apparently quite an institution, with 7 restaurants spread across Beijing, but their courtyard restaurant in the colourful food street of Guijie (Ghost Street), in Dongzhimen Inner Street (Dongzhimennei) is their original, opened in 1998. It is a sprawling traditional courtyard with many small rooms, and large inner spaces. We had been recommended Hua's as a great place to... More

This restaurant is very good. It's really good value by western standards and whilst I didn't see the entertainment I expect it would be good. Service is good. Only a few people speak English but the guy that did (sorry don't have his name) was so friendly. Enjoyed our meal and would go again.

I have been here twice, two Decembers in a row. The first time we happened across it as we were wandering down the fabulously atmospheric Ghost Street. The second time we hunted it out with great purose! The two dishes that stuck in my mind were the rack of lamb, with dried chillies and peanuts, and the drunk shrimp, and... More

I have been to a few other famous Peking duck establishments in Beijing but this is one of the more authentic n charming experiences . Walking into the hutong to arrive at the restaurant is alittle daunting in the beginning as it is dark and appears somewhat sketchy. This is comforted by the fact there are many residents still living... More

If you ignore or appreciate the Disney land aspects if the restaurant then you are in for a treat! The Peking duck was excellent, and the spicy pork amazing! The service was attentive, though confusing at times as they couldn't do enough for us. They offered us a tour if the restaurant etc. but we wanted to get out into... More

The restaurant is impressively huge. We walked for like 5 minutes until getting to our table, which was in a patio (officially other location but still accessible through the main one). We order 4 or 5 dishes and some beers and the bill was aroud 230 RMB per person (2). Great authentic food with a lot of locals drinking, shouting,... More

For the past year, we've been travel to Beijing a lot. And we took our clients and friends to this particular restaurant a lot. We always reserve a table at the courtyard and watch the show. The food quality is very good, I like the chicken, the duck and the signature cabbage.

We ate at Hua’s on our first night in Beijing due to the good Tripadvisor reviews and it was a great evening. I would always return when in Beijing! I reserved through their website and we got a table promptly. There is an open courtyard where the show takes place and we had a table there as reserved. The menu... More
