Description: Barbara G. Pearlman: Expect a wonderful & memorable evening here. We've been to Afanti 4 times & enjoyed it each time. The food is excellent & service fast & friendly. DO try the lamb chops/mutton & house salad. Floor show F/S/Sunday nights, with the most beautiful belly dancers you've ever seen. Excellent band. When dinner is over, expect to see people jump up on the cleared tables and dance 'til they drop. Quite a sight, with balloons falling all the while. VERY friendly accommodating staff. We HIGHLY recommend Afanti. It is a must for us on every trip.

For starters, you can find it -- the restaurant actually appears on google maps in its true location. The menu has English translations. We were given an English-speaking waiter. We ate the grilled lamb skewers, which were delicious. And then there is the show -- very entertaining and performed with a campy, costumed zest. This is not high culture, folks,... More

I have been to this restaurant several times during the last ten years. It is a good place where to eat traditional Shish Kebabs from Xinjiang, the north-eastern Chinese province and have some fun with the live performances with dances, songs, games and much more. Good place to go if you are bored of the usual Chinese food.

This is an excellent and quite unique Xingiang restaurant serving spicy kababs, meat dishes, and naans. It's best to get there fairly early, as typical with many Beijing restaurants, they start winding down relatively early at about 9:30 and the waiters seem in a hurry at that time. However, other than that, the service and the cuisine is second to... More
