After being booked alone into a not so luxurious hotel for my first visit to Beijing, I decided to treat myself to a Peking Duck at the Grand Hyatt. This was from a recommendation from a fellow traveller on my way out to Asia last week. Think you SO much. Hotel staff from other outlets were really helpful to get... More

This is the second time I ate at this restaurant. The Peking duck is to die for. It is a must have for me in Beijing. This restaurant is very busy. Reservation is recommended and can be done via the Internet. There are 2 timing for dinner, at 6.30pm or 8/8.30pm. Upon making the reservation, you will receive an email... More

Made reservations far in advance and we were really looking forward to our Peking duck experience. The duck was okay, nothing special. The service was not. After waiting 40 minutes for them to offer us dessert or the check, we finally just got up to see if twe would finally be noticed. Nope. We could have just walked out and... More

Made in China is a fantastic and eccentric restaurant. The design is modern but reflects the great traditions and shows great respect for the location. I love this place! Busy, vibrant and exciting people watching, the restaurant design makes this a chic and sophisticated approach to a local favourite dish, but the design also permits privacy as well. You can... More

It is no secret that Beijing is an oaisis for roasted duck. However, this unique situation creates a very competitive environment. Made in China deserves a top position with its top noch Beijing duck and other fine examples of Chinese cousine. Made in China is also my wife's favorite location in Beijing not only with its superb food but also... More

There are a lot of good places to eat in Beijing, But the Hyatt has high standards. So if you worry about that sort of thing, play it safe.

Beijing traffic makes driving anywhere painful. But if you are up to going downtown then try the Grand Hyatt at least once

This is by far the best place to have Peking Duck. The way they have prepared it is very different from other restaurants in Beijing. The only down side is that the service is not on par of a restaurant in a 5 star hotel. The waiters seems to be always too busy and needed to be asked more than... More

Made in China was without question the best meal that I had in Beijing and I ate a lot of great food in Beijing. What they do right is that they take traditional cooking techniques and typical Chinese dishes and interrupt them for a Western guest. When you call for reservations and you will need to call for reservations as... More

We went to Made in China with a work group (8pple) so we got many items to share and we went because it is one of their favorite places in Beijing to get duck. Thankfully the duck delivered with the skin being the best I have every had for sure. They were out of the margarita which every at work... More
