The restaurant is famous for its roasted duck. Lovely Chinese traditional decoration and environment. Staff was helpful and responsive. If you stay at the Grand Hyatt it's a must to try.

The duck was not crispy. The room is narrow. The service was poor. There are better choices for same price. The price quality relation is not good

Yes, you may be thinking, I did not come to China to eat duck at a franchise hotel. Yes, I thought the same thing. However, the duck is simply fantastic, paired with the incredible staff, it is an experience not to be missed. The ambiance seemed upscale and I thought I was slightly under dressed to be there but the... More

Just came back from a saturday evening dinner at Made in China. This is gonna be a detailed review as reviews and food are what I do. Expectations were high as the place is regarded as a top fine dining restaurant in Beijing, and no.1 serving Peking duck. Myself being a chef since long and working in Michelin and top... More

I was a bit underwhelmed by Made In China in general. Service was less than lackluster and the serving dishes, flatware were not what I would expect in a restaurant at this price level. Food was ok (just)-but sloppy in presentation. As a solo diner i was placed at a kitchen counter-despite the restaurant being less than half full and... More

I really hate to make a negative review of this place as I'm a royal Hyatt customer....but.... I went there as I read a review by someone here saying that it was great for solo dining. I got seated by the kitchen, so that was fun to watch. The problem is that as a solo diner, I NEVER had anyone... More

We ate at Made in China on our first night in Beijing, and it was the best meal of our four days there. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with small kitchens spread throughout, and the service was attentive but discreet and unrushed. The food was spectacularly good; it was a perfect beginning to our trip! We would definitely return.

This is a real find.Aside from amazing Peking duck all the dishes we had were superb.Even the cabbage was sensational.Sizzling lamb with cumin, king prawns with honey and ginger and glorious crispy pigeon were especially noteworthy.Peach sherbert was a delight to round things off.A surprisingly wide ranging wine list fairly priced made our evening complete.Friendly helpful service too. This is surely one... Made in China has always been my go to place in Beijing whenever I am here for a visit. And it's always been a place that I would recommend going to when friends or family are traveling. Looks like that streak will be coming to a sad end. We went Saturday night with two guests new to Beijing and a... More
