We arrived late in Beijing and stayed in Grand Hyatt. Easiest way to enjoy a meal was to eat in hotel. Thought it should not be wrong by visiting the Made in China. However, experience is just average. We arrived at the restaurant around 8:30pm when the dinner crowd was almost gone. We just wanted something quick and simple and... More

The artistry and preparation of the duck is "before your very eyes." The time, attention to detail, care, actual reverence to this national dish is spectacular. Long Island duck is one thing, Peking Duck at the Grand Hyatt in Beijing is another. China is a 14.000 year old culture and they have it down! No compromise....total commitment to quality and standard.... More

Had the Peking Duck here 5 years ago,it was so good we had to go back.Order in advance and if only a couple just have half a duck.Try the vegetable with Sesame sauce and the Blue Cod.For desert try the Chinese wine icecream.Duck was just as good as 5 years ago.....Yummy

It is supposed to be a famous place. It was quite close to our hotel. The Pekin Duck was underwhelming. You need to preorder the duck if you do not want to wait about an hour whilst it is being cooked.

We chose to visit Made in China based on the Trip Advisor Reviews. It was our last night in Beijing. The duck (we pre-ordered 1/2 duck) did not disappoint, nor did the dumplings. The stewed pork noodles were not very special. The menu was in English and the wait staff very helpful. For traveller's who are not used to eating... More

Made in China serves the best Beijing Duck in town - the skin melts on your tongue, the meet is nicely tender. Another favorite of mine are the honey-glazed prawns. Service is also excellent. Ensure you make a booking in advance and order the duck while making the booking.

A frequent traveller to Beijing. Have eaten at many Beijing duck places, but this ranks up there as one of the best. Been there multiple times, food is very good and very importantly consistent so its not a hit and miss affair, which is very important at these prices. You can taste the good quality fresh ingredients. Also, the food... More

The most expensive meal we had on our trip to Beijing. Over AUD120 for two, and we found out too late we could have purchased a half duck instead of a complete one (as we are small eaters this would have been handy information). The duck must be pre-ordered when making your reservation (mandatory). It is carved at the table... More

OK, so I had a look at some of the other reviews and I think I know why the Peking Duck failed to impress some. My aunt is an important patron of the restaurant (and hotel) and whenever I go to Beijing, we go to this restaurant and the chef or sous chef personally comes to take her order so... More

Chinese dining is such a social experience that solo dining can sometimes be a lonely experience. Not so here - albeit the restaurant was full of parties, they placed the solo diner with a great view of the kitchen which kept him entertained. I love this restaurant: been here before, first review, will be back again. It's in a high... More
