I have been going to Li Qun Roast Duck restaurant for the first time in 1996. Back then I was working in Beijing and it was the best duck in town, hands down. Much better than all these big names where it felt like "duck factory". The duck is always perfect there and the pancakes are thin and fragrant. We... More

A bit difficult to find, but well worth it. Food truely delicious and generous portions. We called ahead to book a table, but I'm not sure if it was necessary/worth it. In arrival they had no recollection of a booking, but after a 20 min wait we got a table.

This restaurant is truly one of a kind. It is located down an alley in Beijing. Hadn't it been for the signs, it would have been difficult to find. I suggest you make a reservation for this restaurant. When we arrived at 7:30pm Friday evening, there was a 30minute wait. There were 50+ people waiting in the back alley of... More

Peking duck was good. However, not worth the trouble as it was still expensive and didn't much care for the cleanliness. However, I think this is the issue in most parts of China.

On approach to Liquin you may want to turn away and try somewhere fancier looking, don't. This is a great place! The food and service were amazing! Add this as a "must" to your list!

Went here based on tripadvisor reviews. Very simple setting in hutong that some may find unclean. Server walking around sweating flies, for example. Got there early on a Sunday at 4 pm and seated immediately, although I had to wait nearly an hour for the meal. Servers helpful when asked but not attentive. Mostly local people eating this evening. I... More
