In April 1962, as Mombasa was growing into one of East Africa's busiest ports, Dalip Singh Wilkhu had a vision. While working as a signal operator for East African Railways, he was inspired to feed arriving visitors while preparing packaged meals for those preparing to depart. Singh Restaurant was born. Since then, Singh Restaurant has fed generations of people from various walks of life... Providing lunches and dinners for entire groups of workers, for families, for individuals... And becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region, and drawing visitors from nearby cities such as Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. Our success comes from high quality in all aspects of our business, from the food we serve, to our operational efficiency, to the atmosphere we provide our visitors from the moment they walk in, until the moment they depart. Our quality of food and quality of service has helped Singh Restaurant gain recognition as the most highly recommended Indian restaurant in Mombasa by sources including TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet.

Tasty wonderful Indian food in Mombasa

An oasis of tasty food, beautifully presented in a great setting in the heart of Mombasa. An excellent choice for a change from African food. Good quantities. Polite, attentive staff.

Amazing value, Singh's offers authentic Indian cuisine in generous portions at very reasonable prices. OK the decor is dated, but the waiters were both professional and friendly. Recommended.

Everything is good! Probably the best Indian restaurant in Mombasa. We ate the vegeterian dishes and they were very good. The price is reasonable. you can get out from the restaurant full and satisfied for ~5$ per person

You need to be very hungry to do justice to the wonderful Punjabi food served here. Plenty of vegetarian options available and their paneer dishes are very good and full of flavour. Palak chicken is a must have here and the dishes can be tempered to various chilli strength if desired. There is something for everyone here and this was... More

Singh's is conveniently located in the old CBD and is by far one of the better dining options in the area. It was business as usual even though the power was out - bizarre experience dining on a moderately hot curry, in the middle of a muggy day, without air con. Tasty food at affordable prices!
