Description: In April 1962, as Mombasa was growing into one of East Africa's busiest ports, Dalip Singh Wilkhu had a vision. While working as a signal operator for East African Railways, he was inspired to feed arriving visitors while preparing packaged meals for those preparing to depart. Singh Restaurant was born. Since then, Singh Restaurant has fed generations of people from various walks of life... Providing lunches and dinners for entire groups of workers, for families, for individuals... And becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region, and drawing visitors from nearby cities such as Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. Our success comes from high quality in all aspects of our business, from the food we serve, to our operational efficiency, to the atmosphere we provide our visitors from the moment they walk in, until the moment they depart. Our quality of food and quality of service has helped Singh Restaurant gain recognition as the most highly recommended Indian restaurant in Mombasa by sources including TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet.

After 2 months of travelling down from London, Dubai, Egypt, TZ; my taste buds were finally treated to some proper home style true punjabi flavours. Been coming here since I was 10....haven't lost their touch. Already thinking of my next visit.

One of the best in authentic Indian food. It's finger licking food has made me go over and over again because I just can't have enough of it. The quality is really well maintained and food is reasonable in price. It's a must visit for anyone visiting mombasa. Yummy!!

This Indian Eating joint is probably the oldest in Mombasa, I think it spans over 4 generations of the family! and the food keeps getting tastier. Some of its waiters have served for such a long time that they even know the exact taste of the dishes on the menu!!...Their Food is astounding to say the least. Give a go... More

This is one of our favourite and obvious choices when we want to have indian curry meals. The Waiters know the menu off head and can also make recommendations. The place has variety for any kind of platter be it vegetarian or non vegetarian. They will also cut down on the spice and chilly if so requested for the not... More

Now this is what I call Indian Punjabi Cuisine at its best. Not a very hi fi restaurant but the food is over 5 star. I have tried several dishes here and each ones better than the other. The butter chicken is worth the 30 min wait. Highly recommended restaurant if you're an Indian cuisine fan. Plus not very heavy... More

Singh Restaurant remains one of the best restaurants in Mombasa. Though situated in downtown Mombasa the restaurant keeps calling one back.. The waiters k ow the dishes very well and will advise if the dish is too hot (chilli that is, especially for children) and they have an excellent attitude. The owner, though laid back is also very helpful. The... More

The ambiance is high quality. The level of cleanliness was impressive. I went there primarily as a vegetarian Indian. However, my African companions were so bowled over by everything there that they became regular patrons of the restaurant every Sunday. The food is authentic Indian but palatable for those who are used to lower quantities of spices provided the same is... More
