Must do in Nairobi

I know it's a typical touristic experience... but I must admit we enjoyed it a lot. Lovely ambience, nice staff, too much to eat :) I would definitely NOT recommend the crocodile. Now that it's ticked on my to-try list, I'm happy I don't have to try it again :)) On the other hand, the ostrich... read more

The food was great but I would have liked to try the Zebra (as colleagues had mentioned it) but it seems this type of game is now off the menu. Crocodile was interesting though.

We had a great time but ate far too much. If you are a serious meat eater it will be on your must do list. We just laughed our way through about 8 or 9 meaty dishes. The other food was lovely as well.

Carnivore is expensive, but you get what you pay for: unlimited meat, cooked to perfection. The ambiance is fun, if a bit cheesy. The service was excellent. It's a good touristy thing to do in Nairobi. One tip: Make reservations. We went on a Wednesday night in mid-September (not the high tourist season) and every table was full. Luckily we... More

It's the ultimate in over-priced tourist restaurants, the food is average, the ambiance fun but it's good for a group and worth trying once. If you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, you'll especially love it but it pales in comparison to more high-end places in the US (Fogo da Chao for example). You'll try exotic meats so you'll get... More

I thought this place was just okay. They offered me ostrich after I just saw one roaming around on my safari and it turned me off. There is entertainment and dancing and the dancers ask you to join them. But as soon as you start dancing with them, they ask for tips- not good and makes you run in the... More

very authentic (to the European eye) albeit a little touristy. They do not serve game meat (banned in Kenya) but their choices of meats has something for everyone's taste, beef, lamb, veal, ostrich et cetera. There is no menu, it is meat, meat and more meat until you put down a flag at the table signalling the waiter to stop... More
